The finished size is actually 1/2" thick x 1 1/4" wide and 3' long. They are the same (low) quality as the bundled stakes sold in the stores. Lots of knots and rough on one side. Not great for use in a surveying application.

What a joke!!!
Description says 1”x2”x24”. Opened up the box and couldnt believe the size. 1 1/4”x 1/2” x 24”. Went back to check specifications. Sure enough it was supposed to be 1x2x24”. They came all the way from Georgia for nothing. Taking them back. What a joke!!!

Stakes are good but found that about 25% were inferior because they had knots that resulted in weak spikes that when hammered they quickly broke.

These stakes aren't exactly perfect, they have rough edges and splinters. I'm using them to mark out areas of the yard for gardens so they work fine for the task, since I needed a lot, I needed them cheap. If you're staking your yard for grading or leveling and plan to use the string technique I wouldn't suggest these, the strings would get shredded.

Several knots throughout the middle of the stakes made for weak integrity. Broke one stake out of about every 5 or 6. I guess what you would expect for the price
