Can I use this for attic ceilings
Hello Justwondering, the recommended R-value in an attic ranges from R-30 to R-60, based on your local building codes. While R-13 can be used to add additional R-value to an attic it would not be sufficient on its own. When adding additional insulation to an attic you want to use unfaced insulation as sandwiching facing between layers of insulation can trap moisture. Thank you for your inquiry!

my space between the outside wall and the inside wall is 11-3/4 deep do I have to fill the entire void or can I just use r-19
Hello Ruben, Owens Corning recommends filling the cavity. If you choose not to fill the cavity then the insulation should be installed to the interior side of the cavity -allowing you to staple the facing at least at the top to keep the insulation in place.
