I've had the scale less than 2 weeks and the batteries that came with it have already needed to be replaced. I won't be able to make a recommendation until I know the scale itself is OK and isn't going to eat batteries. Works well otherwise, though.

First of all this comes with batteries and ready to use straight out of the box. It is nice and slim and very modern looking. It is very easy to use and accurate. I like to measure things on a plate or bowl so that I don't put items directly on the scale and with this one you can put the vessel on the scale and set it to zero so that you measure your ingredients. It is great for baking too because it measures in grams and ounces. I received this item free and in exchange I have left my my honest and unbiased opinion.

I am very impressed with this scale. First, it is less than 1/2 inch thick, thus it takes up minimal space. It is stainless steel, so it looks good and is easy to clean. It is simple to use. Only 2 buttons. One is the unit button, it changes the weight from being shown in pounds, to ounces, grams, or milliliters, whichever you choose. The second button is on/off/tare. After you turn it on, it has an automatic shut off after 2 minutes. That is great because if you forget to shut it off, this will automatically do it for you and save your batteries. I use the tare feature regularly. I place the container that I will use to hold the items/ingredients I need to weigh and tare it so that I get an accurate reading of just the weight of the actual ingredients. Not only do I use this in the kitchen, I also use it for mailing small to medium size packages so that I can get an exact weight and purchase the appropriate postage. This scale uses 2 lithium button cell CR2032 batteries that come with it. I am really glad I received a sample of this. I highly recommend it.

This is a great kitchen scale from Ozeri, but it can be used in many more ways than just the kitchen. First of all, comes with the batteries that are needed so you can get going right out of the package. It is a nice, sleek, stainless steel design and will go with almost any decor. The number display is large and easy to read. You can set it to give you weights in kilograms, grams, pounds, and ounces. Another feature I really like is that you have the ability to reset the weight to zero after you have put a plate or bowl on. No need to make a mess on the actual scale itself. This kitchen tool makes portion control easier since most of us seem to overestimate. Another use I have for a small scale like this is for shipping purposes. I have always seemed to short-change myself when I sell on eBay in regards to how much an item will cost to ship. This allows me to place the item and shipping material on the scale and get a better weight to base the shipping off of. It has saved me money in this way. I am glad I had a chance to try out this sample.

I really like the Ozeri brand. I have many Ozeri products and have always been impressed with the quality of their products. I never think twice about ordering an Ozeri product, for fear I might be disappointed- it has never been the case for me. Not only does it come with a User manual, but it also contains a Calorie Guide and U.S. Postal First Class Letter Rate Guide. The postal rate ability is an added bonus for me that will be used often. The calorie portion of the manual is over 60 pages, covering everything from soup to nuts. (As the saying goes). This scale can measure food either directly on the scale or in a bowl/plate. It has the ability to weigh the plate/bowl and then take that into account when weighing the actual food portion. It does that using the Tare feature. I, personally prefer to simply use cellophane or wax paper to weigh my food. Doing it this way saves me the time and effort of constantly cleaning this kitchen scale. I really like that I can choose the weight display from pounds, grams, ounces, to milliliters. This makes following a meal plan diet quite easy. Clean up is quick and easy using a damp cloth. Batteries are even included with this kitchen scale. I store mine in a cloth bag to keep it free from dust and other items that may pollute the sensors. I received this product for free. Everything works great, display is easy to read, converts to different units of measure easily and cleans easy. Home Depot did a good job getting it to my local store for pickup.
