Heyy, I am 30 North of Knoxville TN, so my question is concerning how much sun this lilac can tolerate? If I plant it in full sun, will it be too much? The south side of my house gets prob 8-10 hours of sunlight, (spring, summer, fall). Would it be advised to plant on east or north side of my home? Thanks y'all, and very impressed with the videos and BEAUTIFUL greenhouse in southeast MI! Maryanna W

I'm in zone 7b/8a. I bought 2 last year. Planted one in full sun and the other in part shade. Both are blooming, however the one in full sun is yielding the most blooms. I took this picture this morning. This one gets full sun.

Would this grow in Dallas, TX? Not sure of my zone.

Asked by: Dal5
Yes I don't see why not. It requires sun and you should have plenty of that. We live in Indiana and we planted ours in a lager pot to let the roots get stonger. We just planted them in the ground this year. During the first season we thought we killed it, but it turned out it was hibernating for the winter even when we brought them inside. Looking forward to seeing how they do next year. Hope this is helpful.
