Can additional rings be added?

Yes, in theory. I purchased mine on a pallet with all blocks (supposedly) already counted out. When I started to assemble - I found that I was missing 2 blocks. I returned to the store with receipt and the purchased brick color. The store gave me two bricks but they did not match quite to the original color. I used them on the back side. I was using mine for a fire pit so I was happy with the height but I do not see why you could not purchase 2 pallets or go to a patio block place and purchase your own. Remember that safety might factor as well. a trip and fall into it could be hazardous. If using for a tree ring- not sure you want to go higher. at any rate- use the masonry glue called for in the instructions to put it together . I have a domed firescreen on top as a spark arrest which also doubles as a visual for anything running full tilt in my backyard.

Decided to check if I buy the stones separately would it be cheaper. The answer is YES. I paid around $230 for 4 courses of stone, yes, 4 courses not 3 as they state in the product description above. I bought a galvanized trim ring for $50 and I glued everything using heat resistant paver glue. Total price out the door was just under $300 and I installed it myself.

Save money........Buy the blocks seperate
Ordered this tree ring to be used as a fire pit. Had to wait over 2 weeks to get it. Got it home and found they company had the wrong count of blocks. They gave 36 small block and 72 big blocks, it should of been 72 small blocks and 36 large. After phone many calls between the local store and online store I decided to go in person and deal with a manager direct. Because everybody was refusing to help. When I got there the manager took me to the garden center and showed me they had both blocks in stock. He gave me the blocks I needed. But in doing this I found if I had gone to the store and just purchased the blocks I wouldn't of had to wait 2 weeks and it would of cost $132 less. That is crazy!! The pit does look great!!

Worked perfect for a fire ring. Drawback, I wanted additional blocks to go one ring higher but Home Depot told me that they don't sell that size blocks separate. So I had to buy two kits, expensive.

I picked up the pallet at the Vineland store. It rained most of the next two weeks. By the time i assembled the tree ring for a fire pit in my backyard, I realized that the large pave stones- many had the corners chipped out. There were no extra pieces so I had to hide them as best I could on the bottom layer. I was short 2 small bricks for the top. Since I paid 211.19 for the pave stones, it would seem to make sense to include 1 or 2 extra pieces. Now I have to drive to my local store to make good on the missing bricks.
