Hi Margie, thank you for your question. This kit that has square pickets (5/8" x 5/8") do not have the ends cut on an angle. The reason for this is that the ends are concealed within the hand & base rails, so the ends are not seen once they have been installed. Thank you!

As others have mentioned, each section will be straight but placing posts at regular intervals will allow you to follow the contour of your deck. Hi Dave, thank you for your question. Our posts aren't designed to be embedded in concrete, but yes you could surface mount the post to the concrete using a concrete anchor, such as a Hilti KWIK bolt.

The post base cover is 2 pieces that snap together around the base of the post. They can be pulled apart if needed. Therefore, they are installed after the post is securely anchored. I waited until my entire railing was done and then installed them all.
