Are hinges reversible so that it can open to either side?

Asked by Sarah February 9, 2021

Its been a few years but if I recall correctly the cabinet is entirely symmetrical top to bottom -- so either 20" end can go on top. And if for some reason you need to reverse the hinges after installation, there are holes with threaded inserts for mounting the hinges on either of the 26"sides. I bought two identical cabinets and installed them side by side, with the left one opening to the left; and the right one opening to the right.

How do I install the shelves?

Asked by Cindy August 26, 2020

It should come with small plastic brackets that fit into holes in the sides of the cabinet. Just push brackets into the holes where you want to put a shelf, and set the glass shelf on top. No tools needed. I added small pieces of double sided adhesive foam tape between the brackets and the glass just for a bit more security.

What is the question?

How do you install the side mirrors

When I purchased my cabinet about two years ago, it came with all of the hardware. To mount the side mirrors, attach the supplied aluminum brackets to the cabinet with screws, then attach the mirrors to the brackets with the supplied double-sided sticky tape. It's a very strong adhesive.

I'm sure you can. Visit Rockler woodworking for the best selections. Just be sure to look at the hinges you want to replace before you go shopping.

These are typically used in a bathroom, above a sink. I have two - mounted side by side. But I don't see why they couldn't be stacked - - assuming you have the necessary vertical wall space and can locate the cabinets so that both are easily reached, and - they are both mounted with the 26" dimension vertical, and with both doors opening either to the left or right. BTW, these are very nice, good quality cabinets.

I would suppose it would be OK if it is a surface mount.

Nice looking cabinet however I cracked the door glass(outside), can a replacement door be ordered ?

Unless they have changed recently, the short answer is no. The long answer: A couple of years ago, I needed to replace the damaged mirror on my 10 year old cabinet (same model as this one). I could not find a replacement door. After much searching, I did find a replacement mirror that looked like it might work, but it was going to cost almost as much as a whole new cabinet. Also, replacing just the mirror looked to be a very difficult (maybe impossible, maybe a trip to the emergency room) -- since the old mirror was glued on with super strong adhesive. So, I ended up buying a whole new cabinet. In my case, I got lucky - the design had not changed and the new cabinet was virtually identical to my old one. So I just swapped out the door (the hinges and everything lined up perfectly) and I did not need to use the rest of the new cabinet.

You get what you pay for. And this is worth paying for. There is no cheap plastic. The metal feels very sturdy. The glass shelves are strong and do not move or slide around. You can install them to open in either direction. They look very nice. They are not flush with the wall, but that is okay because they look so nice. I love the soft close feature. Install is easy. I would recommend this product

These cabinets look much more expensive than they are. They are very sturdy and we love that the inner sides are also mirrored. They provide a lot of storage space and the shelves are easy to adjust. We had a contractor install them so I can't speak to ease of mounting/installation.

We chose the recessed installation and glad we did. Its a small bathroom but the mirror makes it look bigger. The mirror is exactly what I wanted for our bathroom remodel. We chose the more classic look and the beveled edges of the mirror worked perfectly. There is so much room inside the cabinet and everything is mirrored. Its not magnified inside but when you open the door its so easy to get up close and see whatever your doing...shaving, makeup, tweezing, etc. The build is top quality and they even have a little groove on the side to open and close so you don't smear the glass.

Good quality basic medicine cabinet
This medicine cabinet is a great basic for the bathroom. It can be recess or surface mounted (we did the surface mount) and has 3 adjustable shelves (though we've only installed 2). After our old cabinet broke we decided to replace the whole thing and are really glad we did so! This is better quality than the last one but still very affordable. We like that it includes plugs for the shelf holes not used and that the inside of the door and the cabinet are mirrored, which is very functional. It was easy to install, especially since we were replacing a very similar unit. The only (very minor) qualm is that the shelves clip in with a bottom and a top clip, and the top clips were a little hard to snap into place - but we did it and now it's complete, no big deal.

lovely mirror in and out
I installed recessed and love it. It is a nice touch that there is mirror inside and out, very practical. Feels sturdy and well made. We had limited space, only the exact wall space for a 70” double vanity, so had to go with two of the 20” by 26” in order to have enough space in the middle for a handtowel bar. I wish we could have gone with the larger, 24” by 30” because it is a gorgeous mirror. The bigger the better
