This feeder is intended to be attached flat on any desired area. This is not intended to be hung from a traditional bird feeder pole. Caution to install above a squirrel barrier. Small size will need frequent filling in high bird traffic areas. Well made to keep from distruction by birds feeding and very easy to fill. Recommend installing in a shaded area to provide bird comfort while feeding.

We added this bird feeder in the backyard and it was an instant hit. Within about an hour there were 6 birds on and around it we have a mix of birds here, and it can fit 2-3 smaller birds at a time with birds like morning doves and starlings hanging out on the ground picking up whatever falls. We don't have much of a squirrel problem here, but the lid can't be opened when it is hung on the post anyway. My only complaint is it became too popular, It was emptied in less than 2 days! Like all good restaurants, it got super trendy, then everyone wanted to be there... :) You will not be disappointed with this economical and functional feeder.

A must have for bird enthusiasts
This unit has functionality, style and has a low profile. Its easy to fill easy to clean. The back has two different brackets. One with a hanger to hang it, the other a screw spot incase you want to have it securely against a fence post (like I do) or hanging from a hook. Larger birds took to it right away because of its perch. The squirrel was also interested but chose a different feeder to feed off of. I highly recommend this product and plan to purchase another just like it!

Well worth the cost - easy to fill. Hung from a shepherds hook so the squirrels don't eat all the seed. I was worried about the plastic cracking in the cold, but have had some teens lately and so far so good!

It’s ideal for small birds, and they love it. Hang it high enough on a wall so that squirrels can’t reach it. It’s a little fragile if a heavy bird or a squirrel gets to the perch; their weight bends it enough that it can’t be repaired. When that happened I ordered another and hung it higher on the wall, where little birds can enjoy a good meal in peace.

This is a great bird feeder, but you need to be aware of several issues. First,the bird feeder isn't meant to be put on the normal pole like you see a lot of feeders on. The back side of it is flat so that it can be attached to a wall. To mount it on a pole, you will need to take this into consideration. It's also fairly small, so unless you plan on feeding the squirrels, you will need to fill it often or install a separate squirrel guard. It is made of resin, so you won't have to worry about it rusting. Overall, it's a nice, but simply made bird feeder.

This has been such a fun item for our family. It is so fun to sit on the back deck and enjoy the birds coming in to use it. All of our children love to go out and fill it with bird food. It is super easy to use and my 5 year old knows how to fill it. Its amazing how many birds use this now. I have never really been a bird watcher but its pretty neat and peaceful to watch them. It seams like it will last for quite a while.
