Perma-Boot is Great!
What an ingenious product! This product is easy and quick to install, but be prepared to alter the height of your vent pipes for the boot and cap to fit properly. Also, because of the type of plastic the Perma-Boot is made from, not just any caulk or sealant will work on it and the PVC of which your vents are usually made. Most sealants specifically state that they will not adhere to Polypropylene plastic. I purchased Geocel 2321 sealant as recommended. It is a tripolymer sealant and I only found it online for less than $5 for a 5-ounce tube. I installed 5 Perma-Boots on my house in less than 30 minutes. This includes time I spent shortening and lengthening two vent pipes. No mess, no fuss, and the color was a perfect match with my shingles.

I used around 8 of these as i had a leak coming from one of my vents and wanted to make sure during the rainy season I wouldn't have any leaks. These were super easy to install and I haven't had any leaks in the 6 months since then.
