Product Details

Permafloat Performance Dock Flotation is just one in a family of 50 different sizes of floats designed to offer durable flotation for new and existing dock systems. Permafloat floats feature seamless, rugged, rotationally molded construction using Linear Low Density Polyethylene, resulting in excellent resistance to salt water, fresh water, oil and gas. In addition, they are manufactured from material containing an embedded additive to resist both long- and short-term damage from UV light.
  • Permafloat is a registered trademark of Cellofoam North America Inc.
  • Manufactured in the USA.
  • Can be used with new or existing, wood, steel or aluminum docking systems to provide stable and durable flotation.
  • Nominal wall thickness: 0.150".
  • Ribbed profile to withstand wave action and resist impact.
  • Permafloat floats incorporate a 1.5" thick mounting flange, providing superior stability and strength, and enabling easy tool access for ease of Installation.
  • Flash dot reflective dock finder included.
  • Manufactured to the industry standard Hunt test.
  • Meets Regulation #36 CFR part 327, a requirement for installation in lakes and reservoirs controlled by the Corp of Engineers.
  • Filled with expanded polystyrene to ensure minimal loss of buoyancy if accidently punctured.
  • 15 -Year warranty against manufacturing defects. (See link for details).
  • 1,420 lbs. buoyancy of each float
  • 71 lbs. weight of each float
  • Manufacturing linear dimensional tolerances: less than 1ft: +-1/16 inches; 1 to 2 ft: +- 1/4 inches; over 2 ft: +-1%.

      Worked Well for our application, 10 x 18 floating dock
      Floats work as advertised. Took longer than I expected for delivery, about 3 weeks from the purchase date. I was a little bummed when the price went up 10% the day I bought them, but I guess that was my mistake for not pulling the trigger sooner. I built a 10 x 18 Aluminum platform and pre drilled the holes to fasten the floats, 3 of the 4 lined up perfectly but one float was a 1/2 inch shorter.. so I had to drill new holes in the float, which I don't think is recomended... so don't pre-drill.
