Plasti Dip protective coating is ideal for a broad array of do-it-yourself projects around the home, garage, garden and elsewhere. It protects against moisture, acids, corrosion and skidding/slipping and provides a comfortable, controlled grip. Plasti Dip remains flexible and stretchy over time and will not crack or become brittle in extreme weather conditions. It has been tested and proven in temperatures from -30 deg F (degree Fahrenheit) to 200 deg F (degree Fahrenheit).

I needed to repair the roof clamps for our Thule carrier. Plasti Dip worked better than the factory coating. I had never used this product and absolutely love it. I have since used it on furniture feet to protect the floors and to keep the furniture in place.

I bought this product to cover the tips of some hot hair roller pins. The plastic tips had come off. It would have been a lot cheaper to buy a much, much smaller can but this did the job I wanted it to do. And if I find I have some tools that need plastic dipping I will have lots of Plasti Dip to do the job!

I used this product for a couple of different uses. For coating tool handles and creating a shock proof/resistant grip on metal tools, it worked well. I've coated several pliers and even a screwdriver handle, using 4-5 coats as described in the instructions. The resulting handle grip is smooth and grippy and shows no sign of corrosion or wear after a couple of uses which include some severe gripping and torqueing of the tool. The second use case is more extreme. I painted several layers of this plastic dip onto previously waterproof heavy neoprene gloves which I use to handle shellfish. The gloves had received multiple small slits from shellfish shells which created leaks in the gloves. The coatings did not last long in salt water and rough handling of the shellfish, not to mention the flexing of the neoprene. The product is fine for the first use case and I would recommend it for that use.

Easy to use, but the more you use it the less there is in the can and you can't get the same amount covered after each dip. I put three coats on a pair of pliers and that took 1 1/2 hours to complete. Be sure to sit the contents first because it does separate.

Tip to keep unused product from hardening
There's an old painter's trick that can be used with this product. After you've dipped a few tools and you are ready to set it on the shelf for a while, secure the lid (tape it on if you have to) and turn the can upside down. This seals out the air and keeps it from hardening. This works with paint cans as well

Funny I got this review today I have had it for two weeks now and haven't used it. You send me this survey on the day I decide to finally try it out and it works great, It goes on super easy, takes a little while to get more than one coat but not too long.
