Answer This Question
A: Thanks for your question.
No - while the 1160 / 2160 series is a great all-purpose brush, the Trylon filaments are far superior in paint pick-up, paint release and clean-up. These brushes also do a fantastic job cutting in around trim, doors and windows, as they hold a very clean line.
Thanks,

This is a good brush, and I was concerned when I opened the package and found the bristles weren't formed to a nice clean, sharp edge (please see photos); but after dipping in paint it seemed to work out. I still prefer Wooster for projects that must have a clean edge, but this Trylon brush will serve you well. I was able to freshen up the white trim on our whale grey front door without having to use painter's tape, so it did give me a good edge, but I had to be very cautious.
Clean up was simple - run under warm water and use a wire brush to get any hardened bits out, and the brush is like new.

Great Value
I have done a lot of painting in my day, and as a result I have used many different brands and types of brushes. So I think I am qualified to say that the new Best 2.5 in. Trylon Angle Sash Brush is just as good as top brands like Purdy.
The taper of the brush head is exactly the same between the 2 brands and quality of the construction appears to be exactly the same as well. Both brushes are wrapped in a thin metal ferrule that is held tight into place with 3 plugs on each side, crimped, and some kind of epoxy I'm sure.
The Best 2.5 in. Trylon Angle Sash Brush applies paint wonderfully. It holds a nice amount of paint and really helps create a nice edge and feather. The handle itself is only slightly rounded, which makes for a nice feel in the applicator's hand.
So, overall I am very impressed with the Best 2.5 in. Trylon Angle Sash Brush. I highly recommend it to any indoor and even outdoor project.
There is nothing as valuable as a good paint brush when you have a lot of painting to do. This brush is my favorite size and design, a 2.5 inch angle brush. You can paint anything with it, trim, wide board surfaces, cut in along walls and ceilings, wood or metal surfaces. The brush feels good in the hand, and it holds paint very well. The bristles perform great – stay aligned when cutting in, are just the right stiffness, and don’t tend to “fray” producing that annoying one or two bristles that sticks out from the brush problem. Clean up is as good as any brush. If you do a good job you will have a brush that feels like new after several uses. While it is always nice to have a few brushes to select the best size/type for the job, if you are going with one brush and one brush only, this is a good choice, and it’s priced right.

These are a great set of brushes that are really well made. The bristles are really good quality and compared to my normal cheaper HD brush, these are exceptionally nice. I like the fact of how versatile they are and can be used with both stain and different paints. The handles are nice and really allow for a good purchase while painting. Highly recommend for any job!
This is one of the nicest general use trim brushes I have tried in a long time. Good balance in the hand, well designed ferrule creates a good pocket for paint loading, and great feathering on the tips. As you can see from a few of the photos it is easy to cut a nice edge with this Trylon brush, and I even gave my 11 year old daughter a chance to try it.
My wife does a lot of the painting at our home and she likes it as well. I will probably continue to buy her Krylon brushes in the future.
I admit up front painting is not my favorite chore. So, I want a paint and a brush to gets the job done easily, quickly and with a minimum of mess. I chose the Best 2.5 in. Trylon Angle Sash Brush because it was advertised as “designed for today's heavy-bodied, low VOC paints.” In my opinion, the paints now days are far too heavy-bodied and are difficult to get to a smooth surface. For my test project for the Best 2.5 in. Trylon Angle Sash Brush I used Behr white latex exterior paint and primer in one. I find it heavier than I like and that it skins over almost instantly. I used it in high heat (86 degrees) and high humidity (74%).
The brush performs very well. It is medium stiff and easily loads and releases paint. The filament is “Trylon” which looks and feels like nylon, but I can’t really tell what makes it unique. The finish is acceptable with brush marks somewhat less noticeable that my other go to brush for latex paint, a Purdy nylon of the same style. The Best brush is considerably stiffer and handles the heavy paint much better. It also cleans up as easily as any brush I have used. At about $10, the Best brush is an excellent value. I would recommend it to others.
Here is a perfect 2.5" angled sash brush. The bristles are 100% round tapered filament. The brush holds paint well and creates an easy flow of distribution A special tipping technology maintains firmness and a longer, finer tip. This brush is good for all paints and sheens. With the quality bristles it is easy to clean. The handle The handle is the full size wood design to help you grip better. This is a great product.
Wooster Pro Firm Nylon/Polyester paintbrushes are made with quality materials. The unique filament blend was formulated to hold more paint and release more paint. They are designed to provide control and productivity. Ideal for cut-in work and precision painting.
Wooster Shortcut Angle Brush makes painting trim work and edging easier. Soft rubber handle designed to provide extra comfort and control. The full-size brush head means these small brushes still offer fast coverage. Great for tight, small spaces.
