Q:How much weight does each shelf hold?

A: We use ours for the main bookcase and keepsake display in the house. I wouldn't recommend loading one shelf with books, it does bend. We have redistributed our books and nicknacks to even out the load. They're awesome and we love them. Just gave to watch the weight to avoid sagging shelves!

Don't buy it

It's very low quality, I put in garage couple weeks, but still have bad smell, and it's not hard wood. Do not buy it!

Overall the assembly was easy. The only issue I had was that one piece was improperly predrilled or incorrectly edge painted. I used the predrilled holes and had white paint so was able to paint the exposed unpainted edge. I was surprised to see this kind of mistake in the product.

Directions were easy to follow except directions call for tapping...

Directions were easy to follow except directions call for tapping the pegs in halfway and if you do that, it breaks through the front of the molding. I have one long molding piece that was damaged by following their directions. The other molding pieces I only tapped the pegs in about 1/3 of the way and that worked fine.

Too expensive for what it is

I ordered two of these shelves and was hoping, since I avoided buying the under $100 ones, that I was getting a superior product. Basically, it's the same old pressed board shelf with cosmetic embellishments. You have to be really careful not to split the material while putting it together. And speaking of putting it together, would it kill you to label the parts in an inconspicuous place? Most products like this do that to make it easier to match parts to instructions. One more thing: one of the 2 shelves that I received was missing a major part, the lower right side panel. I can't wait to find out how long it takes the manufacturer to get that part to me.

Not recommended

We were very disappointed in this file cabinet. It is a waste of money! Almost all of it is pressed wood and extremely cheap.

Love my bookcase! Easy to follow instructions and I had. I problems putting it together. This would have received 5 stars but the hardware to anchor to the wall broke as soon as we tried to screw it in.
