Good quality easy to install and looks nice
Built a 4 step exterior using pre-made, standard dimensioned stringers (10-in tread, 6 1/2-in rise) with 4x4 posts at top and bottom, so my kit's railings needed to be shortened with my miter saw with 34 degree ends. Glad I cautiously cut long because the angle wasn't perfect on my first cuts. This kit went together really well. My aftermarket brackets look terrible but helped position things. The treated wood is very good quality which didn't even need sanding. Looks fantastic. Wife loves it.

          Looks good but challenging
Be advised that the kit assumes that 34 degree angle will work. Baluster holes are drilled to 34 degrees as is the end bevel. If you are doing a run shorter than the 6 foot (mine was only a 3 step stringer) your cutting and fitting will take some careful attention

Used it to build railings for my deck. Went together pretty quickly. I bought one six foot section and cut it in half and made two railings for my steps off my deck.

The cost was a little much for this setup, .They should.of included the brackets I had to use to mount these . They are maybe worth $70 instead of $90 just my opinion.

Unfortunately, the railing kit lacks the particular level of fit and finish that I could offer to my customers after having installed it on my own deck. There was misalignment of the holes by just enough margin to cause an exaggerated bowing once the effect was magnified by the angle of the rails. Also, this system is really only made to fit a particular generic rise/run with a predetermined angle and making a minor adjustment to accommodate more/less risers is pretty challenging if not impossible. The treated top and bottom rails were definitely premium treated however, the way they were packaged and displayed on the shelving caused significant crowning that had to relaxed prior to install. They've been on our deck this summer and have had time to weather and while they look decent from a distance, the fine details just don't quite cut it.

2nd time I have used these. They look great ! Key number is 34 degrees. If doing sections of different lengths, cut longest sections first ( if you mess up, use it for a shorter section. ) Take your time, measure twice, cut once.

We installed three of them on our new deck.. went well--just remember the magic words 34 Degrees is the key to getting them right. The top rail tended to buck up in center so we pre-drilled and counter sunk a screw in the middle to keep it down. I would recommend!

            Beautiful Railings
We did not have any of the problems described by the other reviews. The pictures I have posted show the color match between these stair railings and the straight rails available in the stores. I do not recommend the Lightning rail though - as the pickets are flat and do not match this railing's profile. The wood matches the straight rails well. We had several problems with delivery, so I do recommend delivering the rails to the store, and verifying the rails at the store before taking them home. For instance, these are stair rails and all of the holes for the pickets are in fact at an angle. We received the straight rail package erroneously at first, which has 90 degree holes - this is wrong. These stair rails are angled and ready for installation. They are difficult to install though and require a handyman. Not for the beginner. Worth the work though. They are beautiful. I posted a photo showing the stair rails set against the coordinating straight rails so that you can see the profiles and colors.
