Q:Your description does say 30". The SmartPump primary pump utilizes a quiet, powerful 1/2 HP, 7 amp split capacitor motor, pumping 4320 GPH, 3780 GPH 10 in. Lift and a maximum lift of 30 in." Secondary says 10" also. Is that correct?

Answer This Question

A:  The Maximum lift is 30 ft not inches. We base the gallons per hour at a 10 ft lift. I hope that helps to clarify.

Q:Is the maximum lift really only 30 inches? Most sump pumps have ratings at 10 feet and are rated higher!

    Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in the PumpSpy SmartPump combo system. We looked all over the product description for us noting a max lift of 30 inches and did not find that. We do have a rather detailed spec sheet on the product page with ratings at 0, 10, and 15 ft.

Q:If the primary pump breaks can that part be replaced or will I need to purchase a new combo system?

      Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for your interest in our SmartPump Combo! We can warrant individual parts in the system when and if the occasion arises, and so the answer is yes! You’d want to contact us at support@pumpspy.com to get started in that instance but we will be standing by!

A:  Hi AMMH, Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Our SmartPump Pre-Assembled Wi-Fi Connected 1/2HP Submersible Sump Pump and Battery Backup System with Monitoring and Alerts can have the primary pump replaced. It would need to be purchased separately. As always, we appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

          Nice package
I ordered and it arrived quickly but there was a part damaged in shipping. Pumpspy team was very communicative and helpful and refunded me for the replacement part (which I was able to get faster locally). I had no issue getting it connected to Wi-Fi and I love the logs and alerts. It's been working a lot this year with no issues and gives me great peace of mind. I've had it up and running for six months now.

            What I've been missing!
The installation was pretty easy- at least my husband said so :-) The app connected quickly - I didn't realize I was going to get to see all the information on gallons of water moving out each day. I'm happy with the system overall - we tested both pumps. The smaller pump works way faster than our previous battery pump did. I feel like this is the peace of mind I've been missing!

If Pumpspy doesnt want to provide instructions and support, why are they selling this at a DIY store?
Look, sump pumps aren’t rocket science. An experienced do-it-yourselfer should be able to install this with reasonable instructions, but the instructions included with this are completely wrong. This is a dual-pump system with pre-assembled y-pipe and check valves. But there are two sets of instructions provided, one for the primary pump as a stand alone product and one for the battery pump as an add on product. As a result, neither set of instructions is correct. Not hard to figure out what to do, but it would have only taken a few hours for them to create accurate instructions. Also, when the pump throws an error (as it might do when you are testing the backup functionality) the app links you to an information page that literally says “Do not call pumpspy for help troubleshooting your pump. If you need help, call a plumber.” Maybe they shouldn’t be selling this at HD? Oh, one more thing: all the cables plug in the same place, but they are all different lengths. Why?
