    Excellent diamond hole saw!
So, I am remodeling two bathrooms and their showers with tile, and did not want to fight to make the holes for the valves and showerheads with the wrong tools anymore. I got this because it fits both on a standard angle grinder with a 5/8 inch arbor, or in my case it also fits on my wet polisher which is basically an angle grinder that feeds water out of the arbor into diamond polishing pads, or in this case into this diamond hole saw. I had to drill a hole between the female 5/8” thread space and the lower holesaw cavity, but that was easy. I have always been a little distrustful of starting these hole saws without a pilot bit, but it ended up being super easy to start at about a 30° angle and slowly work the holesaw perpendicular to the tile. I even did a second hole where I barely had the holesaw at 10° off perpendicular and it still started very smooth and easy. It makes super clean holes. It probably helped that I had water feeding through it the whole time, but it is designed to be used dry without water. After two holes the holesaw doesn’t even begin to show any signs of wear. Expect it will last a long time. Very pleased!

    Good Brand
Hey Ladies and Gentlemen im back here again with another review, this time i will be reviewing a QEP Diamond Hole Saw, so to start i havent physically used the product but im actively looking for a job where i can use it so this review will be based on physical appearance of the product and my personal experience with the brand. So im familiar with qep products i think theyre are a good brand at a good price, not the most expensive nor the cheapest but reliably good products, that being said when i received this product i was surprised it was from qep it looks like a really good quality item makes me think its a repackaged product from a higher quality brand

Nice hole saw, cuts fast and clean, retains diamonds extremely well
This diamond impregnated hole saw from Qep works exceptionally well on tiles, ceramics, and glass. The best thing about it is how well the diamonds are bonded to the drilling edge. I have yet to see any evidence that the edge has lost any diamonds. Also, the finish on the hole saw itself is durable. As is the overall construction. There’s really nothing negative I can think to say about it. If I had to pick something, there is no part number or sizing on the saw. The ones 2 inches and up have both etched into the saw. It has a one year warranty (retain packaging for part number) to cover defects and is made in the UK. I can’t say whether the claim it is 50% faster is a valid one, or what exactly they are comparing it to with the claim, but I can say it performs like a high quality professional grade hole saw. My profession involves drilling with traditional hole saws, so I cannot say how well it’ll hold up being used every day, but QEP is a solid brand and I’d be surprised if it doesn’t hold up like a professional tool should. Definitely worth giving these a try and, if you are a DIYer doing renovations or upgrades to your bathroom, kitchen, etc, you should definitely check these out. Using diamond tipped hole saws will make your work go faster and easier.

    love these cutters
QEP diamond hole saw is a super product. The cutting surface is diamond encrusted. the threads are for a grinder and there is not a pilot drill in the center, by design. I used a 12mm bolt on my drill press to make a template. Be sure to use some water when cutting, it will not effect the cutting and water will eliminate dust and actually is a carrier to move the tile powder away from the cutting area. I also do a lot of metal cutting, it worked OK with low pressure and cutting fluid. But primary use should be tile, stone, etc. NOTE: wear good loves, N-95 dust mask and eye protection. The use of a grinder will make holes "super fast". Put the template over the spot you want to cut a hole, then secure with duct tape, clamp or such. Place the hole saw in the template and you will get perfect hole just where you want it. 5 plus stars.

    great idea
I have never seen these hole saws that are made for grinders. It is an awesome idea if it is anew idea, if I just have never come across them I am glad I did. I have used QEP hole saws for all concrete and tile cuts that I have made in years, Great hole saws by a great company. This particular model screws right under the grinder in seconds. It should last for many cuts just like the other QEP products I have.

QEP wet dry 1-3/8 in. Diamond Hole Saw for Grinders
Manufactured by QEP this is a wet dry hole saw for use in a grinder. Said to be 50 % faster than using a drill and last two times longer than a bit. Fast and accurate cutting of porcelain, ceramic and glass tiles. Especially with the diamond edges of the grinder bit. The hole saw does not require water for cooling. The hole saw has a limited warranty to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one-year.
