I'm in my 60s so my knees are hurting most of the time. I have one replacement knee which is sometimes uncomfortable to kneel on. Found these in the tile aisle near the black and orange HD knee pads I've been using for a while. The black and orange pads are a good product but I was looking for more cushioning. The QEP stabilizer knee pads are larger and heavier than the black and orange pads. They have Velcro straps versus the clip and post style. The Velcro retainer is substantial and has a handy blue strap to aid in release of the closure. Overall the Velcro does a good job of keeping the pads in place. Being a bit larger and heavier they are clunkier than the black and orange pads but the gel provides an excellent platform to kneel on. Like most knee pads they require adjustment often. The pads substantially isolate your knee so you really don't mind kneeling. The cheesy "GEL" decals on the knee side of the pads eventually come unglued and stick to your leg (wearing shorts). I suggest these be eliminated or screen printed. Overall very happy with the purchase although I wish they were a bit cheaper. I would recommend!

The bees knees!
These are terrific! When I was picking up 1500 sqft of laminate flooring at my local Home Depot, the will-call guy highly recommended I invest in some knee pads. I took his advice and have probably saved my knees from about 10 years worth of damage! From pulling up the old carpet tack-board and staples to laying the new laminate, I've already spent numerous hours in these pads and they are an absolute must have for floor work. The adjustable Velcro works pretty well to keep even my skinny knees covered, and when kneeling, the gelled pads are the perfect cushion. I'd recommend keeping the Velcro meshed when not in use to avoid any lint or fibers disturbing the Velcro bond. QEP and the HD will-call rep both deserve sincere thank yous.

A new era in Knee Protection
I used these for a quick bathroom tile job and to say the least, I'm impressed. I never really gave much thought to knee pads other than I needed a set when working on the ground. As I get older and the effects of sports injuries, parachute jumps, and working as a tradesman have taken their toll on my body, I can appreciate the quality of protective gear now available. Before, knee pads were knee pads were knee pads......a thin layer of foam covered with a rounded plastic cap. Adequate to the task but nothing more. These F3 pads by QEP are light years ahead of the old cheap style pads. They are very comfortable, wear easily, and seem quite durable. The gel padding surrounds your knees lending support as well as protection. The single, wide fastening strap fits snugly and has thumbhole loops for quick removal. I think I can get a few more years in of laying tile with these pads for protection! Good Comfortable Product
My favorite feature of these knee pads is that they are both the same. There is no Left of Right with a special “roll, angle or pitch” to each side. This makes it easier to use only one if you’re used to working off one knee and using your other knee for bracing, steadying, leverage, etc. With this in mind. If you wear out one pad, and buy a new pair, you now have a whole extra knee pad. If you think about specific fit Left & Right pads, you would have a left and two rights or vice versa. The Velcro is solid, the gel is very comfortable vs. simple padding. I also like the flat cleated design vs. rounded pads. This is because it helps the pad stay flat to the floor, which helps it from rolling to either side of your knee. Rounded pads tend to slide to your inner knee or outer knee depending on your motion while on the ground.

My knees are grateful!
I've injured a knee before and had to stay off it until it healed at its own pace after a few weeks. With a staircase and some 500 square feet of hardwood to install, these pads were essential. They fit my short, stocky legs well and do not slip, whether I am wearing shorts or jeans. After using them for a while, one becomes less aware they are there. The cushioning provided by the gel pads is adequate while not excessive and makes constant kneeling possible and much more comfortable. The provided loops allow the pads to be removed easily and without having to hunt for the edge of the strap, as is usual with Velcro attachments. My knees say "Thank you!"

Great cushion!
These pads have great, great cushion! They are very well made, and it doesn't look like any stitches are going to pop, and the materials are robust. The loop on the outside of the velcro strap is AWESOME! It's so easy to pull these off, even with gloves on. I have thick, stocky legs, and the strap is almost too short for me. The velcro piece is quite long, but it's sharp edges are on the back of my knee. They irritate me until I start working, then I don't notice them any more. I wore jeans yesterday, so of course I didn't feel the velcro edges, but the straps barely made it around my legs enough to hold on. Today I wore shorts (AZ get's hot!) and I thought the back of my knees would be in bad shape, but they are not. I was surprised. All that said, these knee pads simply need less velcro and longer straps, then they'd be perfect for my body type. Landing on my knees pulling up an old floor, scraping the slab to prep for tile, was a breeze. I quickly trusted these knee pads and quit cringing in anticipated discomfort. Nope, after 20 minutes wearing them, I was full speed and noticed these are hands down the most comfortable, supportive knee pads I've worn. They dry out quickly once they're removed (took them off for lunch, dry when I put them back on), and they work all day without a problem.

A bit bulky, but comfortable when on the knees
I spent a few hours on these putting kitchen cabinets together and unlike before, my knees were not sore the next day. Although these knee pads are a bit bulkier than others they do provide very good cushioning and support. There was barely any pressure directly on my knee caps. The soft gel layer inside along with the molded foam pad do a great job. There is good protection against anything that could hurt the knee. The outer layer that goes on the floor is very durable and is made of a tough hardened molded material (not plastic) that is easy to wipe clean. The straps are stretchy and have good Velcro straps that stay put. There are handy loops on the straps that help grab the strap and stretch it for a good fit as you put it on. That loop is also handy when taking the pads off. Just grab the loop and pull, no need to search for the tip.. Unlike other knee pads I’ve tried that slide down the leg, these do stay put. Although it seemed like they slid down a bit when I straightened my leg, they did come back when I bend the knee. So when I put my knee on the floor it ends up directly in the shaped pad. Like most pads with stretchy straps, the back of the knee does sweat a bit. But it wasn’t as bad as other pads I’ve tried. I’m 5’9”, about 160” and with skinny legs so they do seem a bit large for me. However anyone larger or heavier set would find these to fit very well.
