Terra cotta color
Use to color concrete, mortar, sand topping or stucco
Mix with water, then mix with two 60 lb. or 80 lb. bags of concrete mix
The product works fine, except the color is all wrong. More orange in hue. Should have gotten brown.

Make a sample first.
Make a sample to check it out first. That's the only way to have any idea of how much to use per bag .
If it's important...it's worth making 2 or 3 samples before choosing the right amount for your mix .
If you can't do that...hire someone that can.

Certainly better than gray
I purchased "buff" trying to get close to the color of sand. This did not even come close. Mixed exactly according to directions I to 2 80lb bags and the color was more terracotta than buff. Worked in the end because I was offsetting inlaid stone but not what I really wanted. Buyer beware that the color may not be true.

Photo is misleading. Read the negative reviews
Bought this bottle thinking that the color would turn out just like the photo on the bottle. I used the charcoal gray with 80lb bag of concrete. As recommended, used half the bottle for each bag of concerete expecting that it would be slightly lighter than the photo on the bottle. While i was mixing it it definitely looked like the photo and gave me the impression that its going to come out great. But after two days of curing the color changed to more of a haze gray then charcoal.
They need to put sample photo for each bag of concrete so the consumers know what to expect. Very disappointed in the result.

Color Not Accurate
The color on the label is not the color it dries on the ground.

Easy to mix and the results are outstanding. Concrete doesn’t need to be boring.

I didn't use this for what it was designed for. I used it to add color to paint for a vivarium that will be housing lizards so I needed something non toxic. It was far better then I expected. I will definitely be using this product again.

Produced desired effect in an 'off label project.' Blended with Portland into old school 'paint solution' which, when brushed on salvaged different color cement patio pavers, did result in a uniform color. Just not as dark as expected. But the Portland also was much lighter too. Patio was low budget Liquid Cement Color brought the entire mismatched pavers into a nice uniform light charcoal color. When wet, it is exactly the darker charcoal color desired. Will try sealing with Quickrete High Gloss Concrete Sealer next. Liquid cement color did darken Portland, was easy to use, cost effective for a uniform color. Recommend Quickrete products.

Final color is indeed sand/tan buff. Do not judge the final color until a month of drying and exposure.
I am very happy with this product. I used the 5 oz (half bottle) of the buff color per full bag of grey Quikrete 80 lb. mason mix and it achieves a nice buff sand / light brown color on my 1,000 ft^2 flagstone patio. I used it for mortar between my stones, underlayment of stones, and a stucco surface on stair risers. Many reviews were dissatisfied with the color but in my experience that is due to the user not tightly controlling variables and not giving it time to dry to the final color. Do not judge the final color until a month of drying and exposure.
Once mixed with water, the product is orange, when mixed with grey mortar it is a chocolate brown, once dry it is a lighter brown/tan with a slight touch of pink, after a few weeks the pink fades and I was left with a perfect tan color I was wanting. I do see very slight variations between mixes, even after I refined my technique, but nothing that is a concern. It all matched well.
Here are a few absolute import lessons I learned.
1) Shake the heck out of the bottle just before you pour it into the water! Once you think you have it shaken well shake it for 5 more minutes! This is so important to achieve consistent color. If you are using less than the full bottle, measure the amount out with very high precision. Don’t eyeball it!!!! You will get a different color with very slight differences in the mix ratios; but if you have shaken it enough and are accurate with measurement, it is consistent enough.
2) Differences in substrate moisture and mix finish texture will affect appearance. You can see this in my stair risers where I used the mix as a hand finished stucco. There is no difference in mix color, but the surface finish changes the trowel texture impacts appearance. Even once cured, if you increase the moisture it darkens just like other concrete structures but dries back to light tan as moisture depletes.
3) Mix the mortar/concrete mixture thoroughly. I used a mechanical concrete mixer. Mix much longer than when it first appears to be a consistent color. I did a few batches early on that I thought were good but as I went I used the mixture I could see variations develop. Upon increasing my mix time I achieve consistency. If you have much to use, mixing by hand will take a lot of effort. Rent, buy, or borrow a mechanical mixture.
