I had a grease clog in basement under kitchen sink and snaked it clear. Ran hot soapy water after and clog cleared like brand new.

Easy To Use & Works Well
Very easy to use and it works very well. Used it to clear a bathtub drain. Unscrewed and took off the overflow cap and put the snake down, followed the easy instructions and it pulled up a wad of scummy hair and soap

This snake did not autofeed, I had to pull/push...
This snake did not autofeed, I had to pull/push it by hand. It also says to air dry before storage to avoid rusting. I let it air dry and it was already rusted by the next morning.

Good for the money
This isn't the best of the best but it gets the job done. I handled a few clogs with this and it works okay. The lock mechanism could be stronger and feeding while spinning takes two. For occasional DIY use it is great, but I wouldn't want to use this everyday.

Handle separated, used twice
Used this twice for homeowner use then picked up unit by the handle and the drum unit fell off. Sure don't make products like they used to.

Handle separated from drum
I used this twice then while carrying by the handle it separated from the drum. The whole handle assembly is press fit onto the drum and held in place using a washer with spring tabs that lock onto the tapered drum shaft. I pushed it back together but it does not hold. I even took the handle assembly apart and flattened the spring steel washer/tabs but still slips off the drum assembly. It is still usable but thought Ridged would make something more durable.

Garbage - Do NOT buy
Will not retract. Looked good in the store. Worked in the store. Took it home, unwound it the full 25 feet and now cable will not retract. So now I have 25 feet of cable stuck in my drain. I hate this product and now I hate this company. Will never buy a Ridgid product again.

I bought it a few days ago, used for clean kitchen sink, it worked well, I have rent one last year to clean my same kitchen sin, so this is my second time, I have gained enough experience how to use and how to judge the quality of the drain cleaner. This one is well designed, very easy to use, also it come with life time warranty, so I chose it and it worked as my expect. I trust Rigid, don't want to be disappointed.
