A good Accessory to have
I have already used these on two projects hanging shelf holders. The fact that they can be used in my impact makes all the difference. The magnet holds the bit nicely A good quality accessory

Magnetic not what I was expecting
These are magnetic. However, the magnet is in the hex head to hold the bit in place. That is all. The magnet will not hold a fastener on the bit. The magnet is not strong enough to pick up a fastener when it falls off. You will need to actually pick it up, place it on the bit, and hold it in place.

The magnetic head is quite weak…weak enough that it will...
The magnetic head is quite weak…weak enough that it will not hold a drill bit while backing it out, leaving you to find another way to grip the drill bit to remove it from tight space.

Not what I expected...
The problem I was facing was how to drill a very small diameter hole (< 1/8 inch) at the bottom of a very deep, narrow slot between two pieces of wood. I thought that this product would be part of the solution. It didn't work out the way I expected. In addition the magnetic feature was not strong enough to hold the bit in place. However, I'm going to hang on to this item in the hopes that I can solve a different problem using it in the future.
