A:  Hello, Eddie - No, the running watts of the 4-gallon wet/dry vacuum would exceed what this inverter can provide. We hope this helps! Q:When connected to a car battery or dc volt will it charge the 18v battery if it’s plugged into it?

      Answer This Question

A:  You would have to plug a separate battery charger into the inverter. My suggestion is Inverter model RYi150CBT to charge and supply power.

            Very Useful Device
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this primarily to discharge a 100 ah lipo boat battery as required by the manufacturer every 3 months by running 2 ac fans. It works perfectly for that. I also plan to use the usb ports to power GoPro cameras in my boat.

              Ryobi power inverter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this, very excited to use. Will be very helpful around the house and on the job. Especially since I use a lot of stuff outdoors. Needing air compressors for airing up small tires, grinders and even using the plug in chainsaw sharpening tool will work wonders with this tool. I love it

                  Adaptive, Powerful, Portable
The RYOBI ONE+ 18V 1000-Watt Max 12V Automotive Power Inverter offers not one but three means of inverting power for both DC and AC devices. This Ryobi tool only comes with mounting spot for 18V battery, cable for use with 12V DC outlet, or connecting to 12V DC battery. Also included are four mounting brackets that attach to the underside allowing for stable mounting if desired. The two 110 AC outlets, two USB-A, one USB-C and a 12V outlet are all located on one side panel. The LCD displays input voltage and output wattage after being connected to a power source. The molded carrying handle makes it easy to move and place this power inverter where needed. There are internal fans which help to regulate internal temperatures when larger loads are being supported. There is also an included LED light which gets very bright but can be dimmed twice. This inverter also offers a 12V outlet which can be used to power 12V automotive appliances, devices or add more USB port if so needed. This is a great intermediate inverter that can fulfill many power needed when on the go and in with the 18V family batteries sold separately power can be supplied, substituted and power up again. An awesome device and great addition to your family of Ryobi ONE+ tools and battery solutions.

                  Okay, I’m impressed.
The RYOBI 1000 Watt 12 Volt Auto Inverter with 18 Volt Compatibility is truly impressive. Having used a standard inverter that connects to the vehicle battery, I wanted something a bit more versatile, and I found it with the RYOBI inverter. With the direct connection to the vehicle battery, this inverter can supply up to 1,000 watts (8.3 amps) of AC power. Using the 18 volt battery option, this inverter can supply up to 300 watts (2.5 amps) of AC power. Or using the 12 volt DC adapter option, this inverter can supply up to 120 watts (1.0 amp) of AC power. The inverter also has a LED work light feature. Because I bought the RYOBI inverter for versatility, I was curious to discover what the 18 volt battery could run. My first test was a 3,5 amp electric drill. Upon plugging in the drill and fully depressing the trigger, I overloaded the inverter. After resetting the inverter (turning off then on again), I discovered if I depressed the trigger slowly it would run the electric drill up to full speed. My 4.5 amp electric air pump was a no go. The inverter ran my 1.4 amp rotary tool with no issues. I plugged in an variable speed electric fan, and the inverter ran the fan on the low setting and as I hit the fan speed button to medium and high, the fan continued to operate only on the low setting. However, the oscillation function worked fine. Overall, I’m very impressed with the versatility of the RYOBI 1000 Watt 12 volt Auto Inverter with 18 volt Compatibility.

                  Handy Item!
The Ryobi One+ 1000W 12V Auto Inv. w 18V Compatibility is a portable, versatile inverter. It can be powered 2 different ways off a 12V auto battery, or you can plug an 18V Ryobi One+ battery into it for truly portable operation. This unit works great, and has a handy flashlight built into it. Mounting feet are included for permanent installations. It ill provide up to 1000 watts when connected directly to an auto battery, 300 watts when using the 18V Ryobi One+ battery, and 120 watts when using the lighter adapter cord. USB charging ports come in handy, especially the USB-C port. A super handy tool from Ryobi!

                  Inverter on steroids.
The Ryobi lithium battery power inverter 1000W 12V Auto Inv. w 18V Compatibility really is one of the best tools to add to your arsenal. It's multiple ways to create power with the 18v battery, 12v.charger, and battery clamps truly creates power on demand that will run and charge multiple tools and equipment for indoor and outdoor applications. Great for boating, camping, emergencies that may arise. And a three year warranty.

                  Great Features!
The Ryobi The RYOBI 1000-Watt Automotive Inverter is bulkier than I was expecting, but also capable of a lot higher output than most. The power output depends on how you connect it: 120 watts if you plug it into a cigarette lighter, more than enough to run a laptop, or 1000 watts if you attach it directly to the battery terminals, enough for a small microwave or AC. Note that if you are going to draw anything like 1000 watts, you should probably leave the engine running, it must pull well over 100 amps! The supplied cabling is commensurately heavy, but your car battery might not be up to the job! Perhaps another use for that much power would be on a camper or boat with a separate house battery. (The inverter comes with brackets to permanantly mount it, as if they are expecting that.) In between, the inverter has a unique feature - it can supply 300 watts from a standard Ryobi 18v tool battery ( although exactly how long that will last is not given. ) Being able to stick a tool battery in it and walk off into the woods could be useful some day. It also has 2 USB-B ports and one USB-C, rated up to 20 watts, and a small work light. Ryobi really covered all the bases. One nit is that it cannot be used as a charger for the tool battery, unless of course you plug a charger into one of the 120VAC outlets. I've also seen it suggested that you can charge a 12v battery off the 18v tool battery using the clamps. There is no mention of that in the manual, and I'm sure not going to test it.

                  120V power from a 12V car battery or a Ryobi 18V One+ battery
A must have unit providing 120 volts, USB and USB-C power using a Ryobi One+ 18V battery or a 12V car battery. The on-board inverter converts the 12V or 18V input to an output of 120V, 12V DC or USB. There are two 12V input connections which vary greatly in the output of the 120V wattage – 120W for the plugin cigarette lighter type connection or a whooping 1000W with a direct connection to the car battery. If operating with the One+ Ryobi 18V battery an output of 300W is available. The 120v output is a modified Sine way and may not work with sensitive electronics requiring a true sine wave. There are 2 standard three-prong plug outlets, 2 USB, 1 USB-C, and one 12V DC. A very bright task light is also part of the unit for night time use and is activated by a push-button. A small LCD screen displays input battery charge status, battery voltage, and watts being used. I ran a quick test using a fan which pulled about 105 watts and it ran for about 50 minutes using a Ryobi 4.0Ah High Performance 18V battery before the battery ran down and shut off the inverter – see picture. I haven’t had a chance to power the unit using the car battery but I expect it to perform just fine. Overall, I am very happy with this product and would recommend.

                  Great options and features !
I got this last week and have been very curious about this a Ryobi dual power , 1000 watt power inverter. So it can connect in your car through the 12 volt car adaptor , car battery or your 18 volt One plus battery (which is NOT included). You can NOT charge your Ryobi battery on this you can only use your inverter to produce power through your battery to charge your phone, tablets, up to 1000 volts. Great for camping, power outages. I would keep a couple of your 18 volt all in one batteries with you fully charged, this way you are prepared.
