Q:Why do the green LED lights continue to periodically flash on the battery? This occurs regardless if the battery is in or out of the charger and won't stop. Very annoying. The manual does not mention. Is the unit defective?

Battery will not charge, defective brand new
I purchased Ryobi the One+ HP drill and impacter combo on the recommendation from a friend who does a lot of construction and handiwork. The set came with two batteries, and one will not charge when put on the charger. The dead battery light simply flashes red (second light from the left). I would like to rate higher, as the drill and impacter both function well. But purchasing a set with one totally defective battery is not a good look. Buyer beware.

Great Battery with Good Power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this battery to replace an old one that would die after five minutes of use. I have a large yard with a lot of weed eating area and this battery will let me do most of the yard if it's grown a lot, if it's normal growth I can do the whole yard. I have the weed eater and an edger. They both work great and I would recommend them to enyone.

The reason for the below average rating is because of the one I bought before this, same battery, I used it 5 times in a year and now it wouldn’t charge anymore, I’m upset, I would never buy another but I have no choice, I have the Ryobi charger and finish nail gun. And of course their was nothing anybody could do, at the store or customer support, so sad

Dead NEW Bateries
I bought 4 new riobi batteries. 3 of the four immediately went bad and have never taken a charge. I still have the 1 good one and it's super reliable and works perfectly. It sure does suck to only have 1 good battery though. Especially after dishing out the cash to buy 4 new ones. I leave the 3 bads ones on the shelf in my garage hoping one day they will wake up and start working. I think those 3 bateries are just cursed. The shelf I set them on broke too, so more proof of a curse.

Battery failed

Great, long life Battery
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This battery was purchased 3 days ago for use with my new glue gun and I am more than impressed with the life of this battery than I thought I could be. It lasted longer than I can craft and that's saying something. Ha ha! The blessing is that it charges with the charger for the rest of my dad's Ryobi tool batteries (I am the caretaker of his home so no need to purchase a charger yet)!

Long-lasting, Light weight
