This review is on the Rachel Ray 12 Quart Steel Stock Pot (Red). When I first saw this Stock Pot - let’s just say that I didn’t get my hopes up. Boy was I wrong. I have to admit that this stock pot is very well made. I thought that it would be too thin on the bottom and burn easily but it definitely holds up. We make large quantiles of gravy (tomato sauce) and this 12 quart size is just perfect (no more splattering all over our stove). We’ve seared everything from pork loins to sausages and it browns perfectly without burning. The handles are nice and wide and stay cool, the top fits snug and it’s a breeze to clean. Only con was that the sticker was a pain to get off. I used a heat hug in the hopes that when the sticker came off that it would take the gluey sticky part with it- but no luck. However, a little nail polish remover (acetone) and it came right off. I double-dog dare you to find a better stock pot for the price

This steel stock pot works 'ok' on our GE induction cook-top. It makes a strange sound as it heats up boiling water (see video below - all the sound is from the pot - no other noise sources in the room). However the cook-top likes the pot and will run it full power, so the pot really is steel. Water does boil fast in the pot on induction, so it will be added to our daily usages. I just hope it is not vibrating itself apart from the noise. The enamel has a small defect near the top of the lid.

The 12 QT. Steel Stock Pot is very nice with a huge capacity. The porcelain interior is vey smooth with no defects found. The exterior red color is flawless. The Wife uses it a as stock pot to make soups, precook ribs and other food items that a professional cook would use in a similar manner for food preparations. The exterior glued on sticker requires several washings to remove the sticky glue. The porcelain cleans very easy with soap and water after use. Great pot.

My wife fell in love with the color of this pot and immediately went out and bought the skillets that go with it. The color is a really deep cherry red and looks great. The pot is perfect for large spaghetti type dinners. We had six friends over and made spaghetti and meatballs and this made plenty with some to spare. It is made of porcelain on steel has comfortable handles, looks nice and does the job.

Love it, light weight but strong. That carbon steel is amazing. One of the things about these large pots is how heavy they are and very difficult to handle. This pot is light weight. A big plus is it is also induction capable. So many metal pots to day say they are induction when actually they are not. This one is very sensitive to induction type heating. We cooked in it with sticky type food but it cleaned nicely and easily. The color is beautiful. Look forward to purchasing more in different sizes. My only negative is that taking the sticker off that covers one third of the pot was a little hard. It left a residue of glue that had to be removed.

This is a heady duty, high quality stock pot. The enamel coating on both the inside and the outside is thick, smooth and seems well bonded to the pot. The lid fits well and is also heavy duty. The thickness of the metal makes it very efficient in evenly heating. It is great for simmering without hot spots that you find on thinner pots. The reason for 4 stars instead of five was the task of getting it ready to use. It took hours of soaking and scrubbing to get the label off the pot so we could use it! There is not call for such industrial adhesive on the label.

We've been needing a new stock pot for some time. Both my wife and I are avid cookers. We often use a Crock Pot but it's not always the most convenient way to make a pot roast or other things. I also do a lot of canning and was needing a new pot for canning tomatoes. This is ideal for many things and will be perfect for those tall canning jars when the tomatoes come ripe. You won't find a finer 12 quart pot for the price. I love that it's tall yet not so wide around, allows it to heat better because it fits the burner. This allows for a more economical amount of heat. Too wide, takes too long. Too narrow, wastes heat around the sides. This ones just right and is of the finest quality. Just one note, it comes out of the box with a large Rachel Rae sticker on it. It isn't the easiest thing to remove. It's the only thing I'd have changed.

I have several pots that have are enamel coated one I have had for over 30 years old that I use to brown butter because white is easier to see. So having a stock pot with white enamel inside is great. I look forward to making more stews and soups in it. It is a very heavy steel pot coated on the inside and out with porcelain enamel that can go right in the oven for those long braised meals

Looks nice! the size is bigger than what I thought but i kept it. I do not give it the five stars because the cover has a tiny minimal defect.
