One more great tool from 'Razor-Back' added to my tool shed, lightweight and perfectly balanced for moving and scooping, well the sky the limit here. Our main use is for the tons of Pine Needles we pile up during the year from all the trees here in the northwest, tons of them. Being of aluminum for the blade and the hardwood handle we can leave it in a handy area without the corrosion. the "'D-grip' handle provides leverage and control and what helps make this a ture 'Razor-Back' Great. Add one to your tool collection, you won't be sorry.

This shovel is strong and well built. The comfortable handle design allows for strong grips and smooth scoop and lifts. This is a must have for cleaning the barn. I found that this shovel works well as a dust pan because of its flush design. There is a slight curve in the design makes it easy to guild through the scooping motions over and over without causing body aches. Super easy to clean.

Classic aluminum scoop shovel. Lightweight and versatile. The scoop is 15 inches wide by 18 inches long. The D handle makes it easy to grip and work in smaller spaces. The D handle also makes it easy to slide the shovel along the concrete for snow removal. Much easier to heave your material onto a pile or out of the way than the curved push shovels. Even in my suburban home I will be using this year round. Used it today to scoop large piles of leaves into the yard waste bin. Especially nice that it doesn't let bits of cedar needles fall through if using a rake to scoop. In the winter it will be used to shovel snow. In the spring and summer works great to spread much or dirt. The only concern is there is only one rivet holding the aluminum scoop to the handle. But growing up we had the same shove as long as I can remember so not too worried about it. Being aluminum it isn’t hard to drill another hole to reinforce the scoop if needed. the fit of the handle and tight.

This is a strong quality aluminum scoop with wooden handle shovel. The Razorback shovel is lightweight but can handle tough jobs. It can move material in very little time with medium effort. This shovel should last a long time and be able to withstand all types of weather. I prefer this type of shovel when the snow is wet and I need to throw the snow out of my path.

Last year we moved to a rural property in the mountains and for the first time, I’ve found myself having to shovel things like dirt, mulch, and snow. When we moved into the house, the previous owner left some old rickety shovels and I decided it was time to get some higher quality shovels. This shovel by Razor-Back has a 31 inch D-handle and the blade is approximately 15 inches wide. The handle is made of wood and feels very sturdy. The blade is sturdy aluminum and is very lightweight which makes it nice when shoveling heavy materials. So far, I’ve used this shovel to scoop mulch around the yard and it seems like it is more than up to that task. Although it is not intended as a snow shovel, I’m sure I’ll use it for that when the winter comes. Although I haven’t had this long enough to judge how durable it will be over time, I’m very impressed with how well it is made and I would definitely recommend it.

Razor Back makes solid, well built, well designed tools. Hands down, my favorite. I own several and I never have any trouble with any of them. This level of quality is heirloom. I men these tools are built to last. I'm retiring my old 10 inch scoop shovel for this 31 inch scoop shovel. Because of the aluminum scoop, both shovels weigh about the same. The Razor Back is nicely balanced with steel hardware. Solid hardwood handle. The handle is comfortable as expected and the hardwood is a typical shovel length. I highly recommend Razor Back tools.

The shovel is awesome. The scoop of the shovel is huge and very strong but light weight. I have had similar shovels with plastic scoops and they always break fairly quickly. I used this shovel the to cleanup about 3 tons of rubble and plaster the day I got it, I wore out before the shovel did lol. It has a great wooden handle with a great D handle that is very comfortable to use.

I have been wanting a big aluminum scoop/shovel for a while. This one will be used for shoveling shavings at my barn. I like the light weight and the sturdy handle and grip. The length is perfect. A steel one this size would be heavy and subject to rusting. The large size will make quick work removing old shavings and spreading fresh. I would recommend this for handling mulch also.

This Razor-Back brand D handle aluminum scoop shovel is the perfect tool for shoveling grain, mulch, or even fertilizer! I like the fact it has a lightweight aluminum scoop because whatever you are shoveling is heavy enough already without adding to that weight. I find the job goes faster when you are working with a lightweight tool such as this D handle scoop shovel. I thought it was well-made, with rivets holding the scoop part to the wooden handle (see picture). The D handle was comfortable to use (see picture). I highly recommend it!

This aluminum scoop is just the right length for me and it comfortable to use. It is larger than I had expected and it holds a good amount of whatever you are moving. I used it to move some soil and the only thing I did not like was the wood on the shaft - it is rough and splintering and the curved aluminum blades does have rough edges that need filing. It has to be used with gloves. The wood on the D-handle grip is nice and smooth, though. Although the ad states the weight is 3 lbs., the one I received weighs 5 lbs. The total length is 48". The scoop is about 19" long. The measurement from the top edge of the scoop to the end of the grip handle is 31". The D-handle wood is about 4" across. The wooden shaft is 14.5" long.
