Product Details

Due to its outstanding performance, the Renogy 12V Deep Cycle AGM Battery is a favorite in a wide variety of applications. Maintenance-free and leak-proof, the battery is ideal for standby projects that require minimal monitoring. Thanks to its high discharge rate and wide operation temperature range, the battery can also handle cyclic uses, such as RVs, boats, medical equipment, and lawnmowers. With the finest materials, state-of-the-art production techniques, and the strictest quality control measures, Renogy AGM batteries aim to provide the most reliable, convenient, and economical rechargeable battery solution.Need a little more power? Connect several batteries in a series or parallel (up to 4) battery bank with Renogy Battery Interconnect Cables.NOTE:● To avoid cycle life shortening, it is recommended not to discharge the battery below 50%.● It is highly recommended to use a battery balancer to extend the battery service life when multiple batteries are connected in series and/or in parallel.● We highly recommend installing the battery upright. It is allowed to install the battery on its side only if there are special reasons for doing so. DO NOT install the battery upside down.● It is recommended to connect batteries with the same type (AGM), same voltage (V), and same capacity (Ah) from the same brand.
  • [Maintenance Free & Safe to Use]Manufactured with thick absorbent glass mat (AGM) separators and advanced valve regulated technology, Renogy Deep Cycle AGM Batteries save you from acid leakage and frequent maintenance. No acid leakage, no water refilling, and no harmful hydrogen gas.
  • [Outstanding Discharge Performance]Proprietary quinary alloy plates and exclusively treated plate grids enable low internal resistance and high discharge currents of up to 10 times the battery rated capacity. This means that Renogy AGM batteries can power home appliances with high current ratings.
  • Made of high purity materials, Renogy Deep Cycle AGM Batteries reduce the monthly self-discharge rate below 3% at 77℉ (25℃), which is 5 times lower than their flooded counterparts.
  • [Longer Shelf Life]Made of high purity materials, Renogy Deep Cycle AGM Batteries reduce the monthly self-discharge rate below 3% at 77℉ (25℃), which is 5 times lower than their flooded counterparts. No need to recharge the battery frequently when not in use.
  • [Better Performance at Extreme Temp]The improved electrolyte formula ensures stable battery capacity and outstanding discharge performance from -4℉ (-20℃) to 140℉ (60℃).
  • [Power Most Appliances]Featuring 2000A (5 seconds) max discharge current and consistent, stable discharge, the battery can power up most home appliances, such as a fridge, microwave, CPAP, coffee maker, laptop, and more.
  • Q1: Do they come with the terminal bolts? if not what size do they take?A1: This Renogy AGM battery comes with two M8 x 1.25 x 16 mm terminal bolts.
  • Q2: Can I connect batteries in series and in parallel?A2: Yes, you can. The maximum number that can be connected in parallel is 4. In series, there are no limitations.
  • Q3: Can I connect a 100 Ah battery to a 200 Ah battery?A3: No, you can't. All the batteries you connect together should be the same capacity (Ah), the same voltage (V), and most importantly, the same battery type (AGM). And it would be better if they come from the same brand.
  • Q4: What's the best way to place and store this battery?A4: It's a sealed battery and we recommend placing the battery upright. It is allowed to be placed and installed on its side only if there are special reasons for doing so. DO NOT place the battery upside down. You should store it in a dry and cool ( -4°F~140°F / -20°C~60°C) place. Make sure that it is 100% charged before storing it, and recharge after three months.
  • Q5: Can I discharge the battery to 0% and then recharge it again?A5: To avoid cycle life shortening, it is recommended not to discharge the battery below 50%. And when not in use, we recommend charging it 100% before storing it and recharging it after three months.
  • Q6: I will go to live in my forest cabin during the winter holiday. So I want to know that can this battery be used at freezing temperatures?A6: The discharge working temperature range is -4°F~140°F (-20°C~60°C) and the charge temperature range is 32°F~122°F (0°C~50°C). Using this battery at a lower or higher temperature than the range will shorten the battery's lifespan. We recommend checking the specific daily temperature of the place you will be going before using this AGM battery.
  • Q7: When using a charge controller, which battery type should I set?A7: You should choose the SLD battery settings.

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Artie, The AGM batteries can be a power supply as long as the battery count is enough to charge your EV and the charger for AGM and the charger between the battery and EV is compatible with AGM. Q:Hello, I have 8 315watts panels and a 4000w 24v inverter. How many batteries do I need please?

    Answer This Question

A:  With a 24v inverter you will need a minimum of 2 batteries wired in series to get 1-24v 200Ah battery. Then add additional sets of 2 wired in series to increase your storage capacity. Additional sets of 2 will be wired in parallel. Look up will prowse on youtube for many good videos to help you design your system. At the end of the day, your solar system is only as good as your battery bank, so buy as big of a battery bank as you can.remember not to discharge agm batteries below 50% !

A:  Add up the wattage that you will be using and that will be a good starting point. A 200 amp agm battery shouldn't be drained beyond 50% so 100 amps per battery. I have 1200 watts of solar and a 24 volt inverter with 6 renogy agm's and I could easily have 2 more because they charge up fast with that amount of solar. More batter;y is better. I hope this helps.

Q:how many 12v renogy agm 200ah batteries would it take to operate 5000 watt inverter

            Answer This Question

A:  Hi George, Thank you for sending your inquiry. The minimum requirement of battery for the inverter is at least 10% of its size, you can use 3 of the 200Ah batteries to connect in parallel to build a 600Ah 12V battery bank however, the battery still depends on how large and how long you will run the loads connected to the system. Please give us a call at (909) 287-7100. We're open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3 pm PST for assistance.

              Too soon-to-be reviewed
It's hard to give an appropriate review for this product unto its been in use for months or even years based upon a 2 year warranty. So far the batteries are operating great but only time will tell. So I'll try and give an update to this review next year?

              Glad I upgraded.
I use this on my 12-joule solar fencer on the ranch. It works much better than the old lead acids I had tied together. Very glad I upgraded. Definitely planning on buying again.

              I'm liking them
So far they are great! I haven't put them under load yet but seem solid. Came very protected (box with Styrofoam inside a box with Styrofoam). They were fully charged upon arrival and had zero dings, marks, scratches, or any sign of damage. I'm using in a 24v backup system with solar. They are HEAVY (130lbs) and just a touch more than double the volume of a size 31 battery. They are shorter so they do have a big footprint. Handles were easily removed once they were in place so they have a clean look. Sitting here hoping the power goes out so I can play now...

              No Power = Cold Shower
For those of you who don't know this; a natural gas tankless water heater requires 120v power to work. I'm using this Renogy 200ah battery to power a inverter/converter for my Rinnai Tankless Water Heater. With a 4amp load draw, I should get approximately 50 hours of constant usage. That's 10 days at an average usage of 5 hours a day. The battery is super heavy but small enough to fit in my tiny water heater closet. I like the handles for easier carrying. All the pieces were included (bolts, washers, lockwashers and terminal covers). It was delivered by UPS and packaged well. Happy so far with its voltage output.
