The lid fits perfectly (as it should). It is light and stays in place after being flipped up so that both hands can be free when using the trash receptacle. My only complaint is the price, which is exorbitant. The lid is priced at almost half the value of the trash can! The unreasonable price lowered the rating by one star for me.
