Tried twice so far to get the “listeners” to listen. Have not been able to complete that part of the set up as far as I have seen. Seems stupid when SimpliSafe (et al) have got their own detectors, not a crappy microphone that has to listen for someone else’s sensor to go into alarm, then MAYBE work. Another hockey puck on the wall. Not a fan. Also wonder what else it “listens” for…and reports back to the “monitoring center??”

Garbage
Purchased ring security system and installed no problem until smoke alarm listener.
What a garbage product from ring After 3 hours to connect to base station no luck and battery was showing almost empty.
Don't buy it.

Terrible product. When smoke alarm triggers listener, the only way to stop the fire company from...
Terrible product. When smoke alarm triggers listener, the only way to stop the fire company from coming is for the primary phone to be answered. I was out of cell reception when my wife burned toast. She tried to clear with control panel, but couldn’t. Ring called her, as the secondary number, to tell her they dispatched the fire company since I didn’t answer. Huge and costly problem!
