The keypad has a motion sensor and there?s an option in the app to have the backlight come on when you move near it.
The keys only illuminate when you push one of the buttons
Hello Skeezix, Yes, the Ring Alarm Wireless Keypad(2nd Gen) does have backlit keys. The backlight illuminates the letters and symbols on the keys to make them visible in low light environments. The print on the keys is semi-transparent, so the light underneath will shine through it. Ring Alarm is an affordable and comprehensive DIY home security system. Start with a Security Kit that includes a Base Station, Keypad, Contact Sensor, Motion Detector, and Range Extender. Add components to meet your security needs and the size of your home.
