Sometimes all you need is a step!
At first thought I said, "What could I possibly use this small step stool for?". I was foolish. I use it daily! I have cabinets in my kitchen that this stool grants me perfect access to. It pops open quick and easily and quickly snaps back into its flat storage position. How cleaver! I keep it right next to the refrigerator and because of its small size, it is barely noticeable. It is sturdy step and high quality material that will last!

Best Kitchen Stool Ever!
This is the perfect step stool for your kitchen! It is very light-weight, yet sturdy and takes up very little precious kitchen space. I have a step stool that I have to drag out of a bedroom every time I need it in the kitchen - Very inconvenient, especially when I'm in the middle of making something and need to retrieve an ingredient from the top cabinet. This little beauty slides into the very narrow space between my refrigerator and the wall - just a few steps from where I need it. It quickly snaps into that extra step that I need to reach into the depths of the upper-most cabinet.

Easy Store Stool
This stool folds up nearly flat for very easy storage. (See pictures). To unfold and fold, it does take a little bit of effort to snap and unsnap. We are using this stool so that my two year old son can reach the sink. Great for small bathrooms where you don't have a lot of space to store things. Sturdy enough to support the average size adult. It is about 8" tall.

Another nice Rubbermaid product and worth buying in multiples
This Rubbermaid 1-step foldable step stool serves more uses than just simply in the kitchen. It serves a multitude of uses outside the home and especially in the back yard and garden. I've got really bad knees and joints and sitting on this stool while pulling weeds, planting, and even pruning makes a inconvenient chores a little less bothersome. When it gets dirty, a quick sprits with garden hose, a few quick wipes and the wife hardly knows I ever borrowed the stool. It's a Rubbermaid item so quality and design are built into the productfor longevity.

Space Saver Step Stool
Perfect when space and safety are a must. Measures 1" when folded making this perfect to store in the tiniest spaces. Easy folds out in the open position with interlocking latches that lock the top into place. Top is rubber for a safe and secure footing. This stool give you 12" of additional height for those had to reach spaces. Sturdy construction. Folds up without any effort.

Very Sturdy
I was very pleased. The step stool met all of my expectations. Very sturdy with 4 rubber feet and a wide non-slip tread. Does not wobble when standing on it. Easy to use and store. No parts to lose. Folds to one inch thickness. Supports weight up to 300lbs. When assembled the width is 12in., Depth is 9in. and Height is 9in. Made out of very sturdy composite plastic material.

sturdy & light, but with a couple of caveats
I got this to replace a prior version (different maker) that broke. The first difference i noticed right off was the construction; the *old* one was the standard design, where the part you stand on hinges in the middle, so when it folds the sides fold in and the top folds up (and usually creates a carry handle for you at the same time). *This* one does it different: the top is one solid piece that hinges along one long edge of the base, so as the sides accordian in, the top levers down to fit on top of the (now rectangular) base, and clicks into place along the other long edge. Which is good from a strength perspective, as it takes that top hinge out of the equation as a weakness. Which is almost certainly how they can make a "holds up to 300 pounds" claim on this model. (Disclaimer: i weigh 183, and was not going to pick up 118 more pounds while on the stool to test that out. I'll just take their word for it :-) So, the pros and cons of this difference in design: Pros: strength; folds flatter Cons: folds taller (so you can slip it into a narrower space, but might have to put it on its side if the space wasn't that tall); no handle (but, really, if you flip it upside down you can use the cutouts in the sides as a perfectly serviceable handle) In other words, the cons are kind of minor, but bear mentioning. Oh, also, it's not 100% obvious (at least it wasn't to me) but the best way to get it to release the "clips" and fold back up seems to be use your thumbs to push where the clips are, while simultaneously pushing in slightly on both sides to get them to fold in.
