Fine for indoor storage, but critters will eat through it outside
This would be a 5-star review if we could store this can in a garage. However, no garage for us, so we store it outside. Within a year, critters had already chewed through the top and ransacked our trash. So, would not recommend unless you can store it inside. If you can, then it's just fine.

Wouldn’t buy a different one!
We’ve had one of these for 13years now (been using it as our main trash can) and now that our spare needed to be replaced bought one more. Our first one apart from a few scratches here and there and some discoloration of the red handle is in excellent shape (wheels, attached lid etc). They’re really well made. What I really like about them -compare to others I saw- is the fact that the lid engages on the rim so it doesn’t fly open (never happened once in 13years) although opens easily when you lift it. I also love its size. At 45 gallons capacity it’s just what our family needs, not too big/not too small. Had to wait to get it (because of COVID they were out of stock) but I just wouldn’t buy a different one.

DO NOT TRUST THE WARRANTY!
Purchased at HD, and the container split down the back after use. Local store would not exchange and told me I had to deal with Rubbermaid. But they did NOT honor the 10 year warranty. I contacted their customer service, sent them requested pics and info, and then NOTHING! VERY disappointed.
