A:  Thanks for reaching out! Rust-Oleum Automotive Acrylic Enamel Spray Paint cannot be applied directly to galvanized metal. Oil based paints are not compatible with the zinc in galvanized metal, it will not adhere.     A:  Rust-Oleum Automotive Acrylic Enamel Spray Paint does not need to be sealed. This product dries to a very durable, UV resistant coating. You can use a semi-gloss finish if desired, but it is not required. It is not true that a flat finish is porous and can chalk up or fade over time. With proper preparation, application and maintenance, a flat finish will last just as long as another finish.
