Asked by Buford February 28, 2017Since this is mounted on the ceiling it's going to pick up 360 degrees, full circle, and about 9 feet in each direction. Think of it as a cone coming down from the ceiling. That will give the coverage area.
After an intruder sets off the alarm, does it continue until the battery runs out/it is disarmed...
Asked by Steve February 3, 2017When the sensor detects movement there will be a 30 second delay. If the unit is not disarmed during this time then the alarm will sound for 30 seconds. If the unit is not disarmed and detects movement again then the alarm will sound for another 30 seconds. This will continue until movement is no longer detected or the unit is disarmed.
Can you order additional fobs and will the device handle multiple at the same time?

Can you shorten the length of time before the alarm sounds?
Asked by pgeg December 5, 2014No. Once the unit is armed (after the 45 second entry delay) then if the alarm is triggered there is a 30 second delay. This is so that if you are the one triggering the alarm when you return home or so you can disarm the alarm before it sounds.
so your motion sensor standalone alarm 120° wide angle will also set off with most animals also? they are that sensitive to trigger any movement.
Asked by barb October 6, 2014The Motion Sensing Ceiling Alarm has a Passive Infrared Sensor, it will detect "heat." It has a 360 degree detection field horizontally, and slightly more than 120 degrees vertically. The effective detection area does depend on the height of the ceiling. As a general rule the effective detection radius when mounted on a ceiling is approximately 9ft. Small animals such as cats, dogs and similar can trigger the PIR sensors.
Is this item "pet immune"?
Asked by MelSed August 5, 2014The Motion Sensing Ceiling Alarm covers 360 degrees and a height of 12ft at it's highest point. As a general rule, the effective detection radius when mounted on a ceiling of average height is approximately 9ft. Your cats have a good chance of setting off the alarm.
