72.2 in. Dark Teak Wood 5-shelf Ladder Bookcase with Open Back

Received this book shelf as extra storage in the office but I might change my mind. All parts and shelves arrived, no missing pieces, however there were scratches on some shelves and overall the bookcase looked in used condition. The bookshelf is also a little wobbly and overall I feel it is not worth the money, especially with so many bookshelves like this one out there.

This shelving unit is in our bedroom and being used to showcase some small accessories. Its great that it is black and fits in with the rest of our furniture. It wiggles if you shake it from side to side, which is kind of expected for something so tall, but front to back it doesn't move at all, so it makes sense to put heavier objects on the bottom and lighter ones on the top. There are a couple of areas on the rails that appear like the finish was cracked and one shelf had some minor chips, but these issues were able to be remedied with a black marker. The shelves attach via hex bolts which is pretty straight forward, but when attaching the shelves to the second rail, we had to make sure they lined up well with the other side and were straight. Not a big deal, and its common sense once you're in the process of assembling. One consideration is that it seems a bit pricey for what it is, but the style is modern and very appealing.

For the price this product was waaaay too much money. I was very happy with Home Depot's willingness to open it up and check it in the store for damage. Although there was no major damage there was some minor nicks and separation of paint at the joints. (not a sign of quality in my book) But I happened to have some matching black furniture paint already so decided to just do the touchups myself. Again the fit was exactly the width I needed and the styling was perfect but for the cost did not match the quality.
