Q:Can this be used as jointing mortar for flagstone?

Answer This Question

A:  -ljfer, no we do not recommend using Sakrete Type N Masonry Cement for this application. We do recommend using Sakrete Sand Mix, which is a 4:1 Sand to Portland Cement Mix. For this application, you will also need to use Sakrete Bonder & Fortifier, which is used in a 1:1 ratio with the water recommended for Sakrete Sand Mix. Should you have any questions, please contact our Technical Support Team at 1-866-SAKRETE.

    Answer This Question

A:  -Brian, we would not recommend adding Type N-Masonry Cement to Sakrete Type S Mortar Mix. The products are intended to use what's pre-blended in the bag to achieve a mix its designed for. Should you have any questions, please contact us at 1-866-SAKRETE.
