Easy to use
This Sievert torch is so easy to use. I like the automatic ignition switch that typically starts on the first click, and then you can adjust the strength of the flame easily. By releasing the trigger, it will shut off the gas flow. The torch can be used at different angles, including upside down, without any issues. You can lock the trigger for a continuous flame, which makes it easier to handle. Uses MAPP fuel, or propane.

Very Nice & easy to grib when operating
I got this so I will have it when needed, I have not sweated copper in a long time. Any way it will be very handy at work were I will use it more as a heating torch when we have to heat up parts to brake lose the locktight holding the nuts or studs in place. I checked out the operation sheet that came with the torch and then checked out the quality of the torch itself. I like the weight of the torch as well as how solid it fells in the hand. The seal is in place very clean looking and the threads are cut perfectly clean. This makes a good seal on the propane bottle. The torch lit up the very first try no problems. This is very easy to adjust you can do it with one hand. I like the triger lock easy to get to and sets and release with out a problem. Well made solid no complants, it is of the highest quality

Seems to work fine
I did not found anything wrong with this torch, if using it properly. In my opinion, this is a great torch with good price. It is a entry-level torch but still can meet most needs for ordinary people like me (i.e. not professionals making a living on this). So the bottle pressure dominates everything: Cannot ignite? Just turn to low the gas knob when pushing the trigger. Shut-off when inverted? Of course it will extinguish when inverted, since it does not have anti-flare and that is why it is cost much less than those high end models. Shut-off during using? Check your environmental temperature, this is probably due to the surrounding temperature is too high and the bottle pressure goes up, it is not the torch’s problem but the bottle’s, bring the bottle to some cool place for a while may solve the problem. Similarly, flame is too small? Maybe this is because you are using it in ice cold winter and the low temperature cause the bottle pressure too low, use some hot water to warm up the bottle.

Awesome torch
What an awesome torch. I originally bought a benzomatic with a hose for extended reach but the valve was not very good. Took a while to bleed or burn off the excess gas in the line. This torch the adjustment is spot on. I use the torch mainly for epoxy curing getting bubbles out. Being able to adjust precisely is key to getting a perfect result. I highly recommend.

Butane torch
This pro five butane torch is very easy to use, the flame control of its temperature is very simple. The ignition is very simple. It has a decent fuel capacity container, it has great safety features. It’s easily held, and it’s very lightweight and easy to carry around. Even if I’m making crème brûlée, lighting my cigar, lighting the coals in my Grill, using first purpose is even better.

Comfortable to use
Compared to other torches of this nature, I believe this one is more comfortable to use. The grip is much smaller, but still allows you to have a firm grip to maneuver the torch into various positions. This is the first torch that I have owned using MAP gas. Having a welding background, I know that MAP gas burns hotter than propane. The flame is adjustable by a simple dial on the torch body. A single pull of the trigger ignites the torch and I did not need to press more than one time each time I lit the torch. The flame is well formed and is the proper blue color that indicates it is burning clean and with the proper air mixture. I like that you can also use propane wit hthe torch so you are not bound to one type of gas.

Best Torch I Own
I own two propane/MAPP torches, I think they're Bernzomatic. The first thing I noticed when I unboxed this Pro 5 Superior Performance Torch was the weight. This head is substantial, its got some weight to it and feels very well made. It ships with a cyclone burner tip which is ideal for soldering, brazing and heating applications. One unique feature, to me, that I especially like is the trigger lock. Fire it up, lock it on and you have both hands free. Also, this guy will work inverted, nice feature. This will be my go-to torch. Sievert offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty and Home Depot has their very generous 90 day return policy.

Easy ignition!
Executed quite well in my opinion. For starters you can tell Sievert is a quality company as they take pride even with their packaging. Nicely done. The tool itself has some weight to it. The threaded collar is thick for safety. My testing, the tool ignited on the first pull, every time. The fuel adjustment knob works like it should and the Pro 5 model includes a trigger lock, which of course, is always appreciated. No issues using the unit upside down either. Strongly recommend!

Huge Upgrade - Get one!
I never thought I would be so excited to get a new blow torch. The packaging insert raves on about the legacy of Sievert and their roots in innovation and perfection. I must say I agree with their marketing: "a blow torch like no other". This product is solid - not made of cheap plastic, but substantial and hefty die cast steel. One click of the "trigger" and the built in piezo ignition lights 'er right up! No need to keep track of a separate igniter or little flint. Once ignited, the trigger can be locked for continuous gas and flame. The flame adjustment is also great, as you can adjust the intensity of the flame. MAPP gas was included, but torch also can run on propane gas. Versatile, high-quality, and an awesome upgrade from my dad's hand-me-down torch!

Great torch
The Sievert Pro 5 torch kit is a neat kit. This particular kit comes with a mapp gas cylinder and the Pro 5 torch head with a standard tip on it. The torch head is extremely well made and solidly built. It does have some weight to it which is nice to help balance it with the tank. The head features a piezo ignition for light it, so no need fir a striker or lighter. It has a nice flame adjustment on it to. All together a great little torch for small plumbing repairs or defrosting pad locks in the wintertime.
