I was looking for a supporting bed frame/box spring for my guest bedroom. I had previously tried a folding metal frame, but it did not provide a decent support to the mattress like a box spring and the mattress used to sag in the spaces between the wire support. However, getting a box spring from store to home is always a pain given its size. This was the first time I saw a foundation that does not come pre-assembled, but comes as individual pieces for assembly, so I decided to give it a try. As you can see from the first picture, the foundation comes in a very low profile box. The box is quite heavy and it required two persons to get it upstairs. The only tool required for the assembly was a screwdriver, rest all comes with the package (including the wrench). If you have power tools, you would save a lot of time in the assembly. It took me less than 45 mins to get the whole thing setup. Once the wooden frame is assembled, it can be covered using the included stretch cover. I used this foundation with a firm memory foam mattress and the difference is very significant compared to the metal frame I used earlier. I have slept on it regularly for about 3 weeks and it seems to be very stable so far (no noticeable wobbling or squeaking). I can recommend this product confidently as this is a great option to carrying a bulky box spring from store to home.

Super easy to install. The kit comes with the bolts and nuts to connect the four corners as well as the screws for attaching the slats. The package contains an extra bolt and nut in case you need it later on. All of the holes for the bolts are pre-bored for you. All you do is finger tighten, make sure it's squared and then tighten the nuts with the wrench that is also included. The slats all have pre-drilled pilot holes so the screws go into the wood easily. The wood is of good quality with very little splintering. I used a drill to attach the slats but could have done it without a drill. It also comes with a cover to provide a barrier between the wood and the mattress. This is an easy way to put together a foundation within a confined space because you assemble it on the bed frame. So quick and easy!

Too wide... but easy to put together...
I have a mixed review. This was easy to assemble and was what I expected in general. However, the full size was too wide to fit in the rails of a full bed frame. I tried two different setups. On the other hand the directions say this product should only be used on firm, level ground, yet it is pictured on a frame. My bed is now too low. I'm not sure what to do about that.

As it turns out you need to half at least an average of mechanical ability to assemble this product. I loved the material and it is "all" made of wood. All parts were there and in perfect condition. Be careful though, the instructions to assemble it was off but in time you can figure it out. OK here is why I gave it only 3 stars. After full assembly was complete it was about 1.5 inches wider than a full size bed mattress and as a result would not fit into the metal frame. I ended up rigging the metal frame enough to drop the box spring in but the metal frame now extends out about 2 inches but in my case it didn't matter because the bed is lined up along the wall for the left side and as intended the front is backed up in the other wall.

Missing hardware. Pretty much had to reconstruct the frame ourselves since the staples didn't hold during transport. Cover does not fit 100% correctly, had to stretch and staple to get it to stay.
