I bought the equipment from home depot and trying to activate the account and I get all the way to the end and then it asks to order a kit and pay 299 again. I already have the kit and put in the kit number so how does it not know that I already have it?

Does this have to be mounted up high if I live in an open field? My Dish satellite was installed on the bottom corner of my house, not on the roof and I get great service? I’n thinking with a network of satellites. I may have to put it up higher?
You only need an open view of the sky. I have successfully set it up on it's little 4 leg base which is only about 8 inches high. You may have to have it a short distance from the house if the house "hides" the dishes view of the satellite.
Is this latest version “Gen 3” Or can I request the latest Gen 3?
I just returned one I ordered 10 days ago. They delivered the 2nd generation, currently named "STANDARD ACTUATED" on the Starlink site.
HD now has a separate purchase option for Gen 3 on site.
