Senco products for me have been tried and true and...
Senco products for me have been tried and true and I know I'm buying quality with any Senco purchase. When I purchased this roofing nailer I also purchased a Makita roofing nailer. First impressions straight out of the box, the price and functionality award goes to Makita with the added hanging hook and the swivel air fitting included. Field tested the Senco nailer looks and feels like a better built product than the Makita by weight comparisons and eying them both over, quality title remains with Senco straight from the gate at least. Field tested using both nailers at 120 psi Senco struggles to fully set nails into substrate while Makita sets nails with ease and speed leaving Senco in a dust cloud. Psi turned up to 140 Senco arrives to the party but forces Makita to adjust nail setting depth with the increased psi delivered. Both operate like should but don't deliver equal results from the same psi provided. Overall the Makita nailer seems to be the better purchase with the lower cost, outperformance straight from the gate and helpful accessories included it's hard to deny Makita offers the "more for your money" nailer. Only question is can it go the distance and give longevity that compares with Senco...
