AnswersOur room was just under 12' long. We cut a 6' piece in half which gave us the pattern of 36", 72", and 29". Next row started with the 72" and 65", then back the the 36", 72", and 29". Nice staggered pattern with little waste. Not sure how many different color patterns there are, but I think at least 6 or 8. It all blends nicely so we didn't spend much time picking out certain pieces.

AnswerGreat question! A neutral Ph cleaner is recommended for the Avalon Phoenix 7 in x 72 in Click Lock Vinyl Floors. Shaw offers the Shaw Hard Surface Cleaner and Home Depot offers a product called Zep that is also a Neutral Ph cleaner that can be used on the floors.

Love the fact that Shaw has made the latest and greatest popular vinyl plank flooring. I was anxious to get this and install because the color is what I was looking at a local store and was double the price. This did not let me down. Color is spot on. You can literally pick this up at store and install the same day, no acclimation needed. Has built in sound proofing and clicks together easily. They are extra long, so may need an extra person to help get the grooves in place. This not only looks great, but will hold up to kids and dogs. Installation was easy,no issues.

Oh My Goodness! Of all the Shaw products I’ve used so far this is, by far, my favorite!
To begin with, these were the longer floor boards. At six feet in length, they were much quicker to lay down and complete the room. At seven inches wide, when completed the floor looked like I had just stepped into a classically restored hundred year old historic home. The colour and pattern look so natural and rich they’re just stunning. Any décor would look magnificent in a room floored with this product, from Classic Minimalist to Bohemian Chic, would be at home on this floor.
As for installation, I could not have been happier! I was able to score with the utility knife and snap. One final slice on the underside and voila! Perfect ends. There was no snagging or having to cut several times to get a nice score. The interlocking was also smooth and easy to do, they fit together like they grew there. Aside from a little light tapping to be sure the seam was secure all the way along the board, there was no heavy effort needed for perfect seams.
We used four boxes and, using it all, covered a ten by ten foot floor. Because the cutting was so clean we had no waste to worry about.

I love the features of this flooring! Click and lock is easy to install. The finish on the floor looks great and much higher end than other flooring at this price point. The vinyl holds up well, but is easy to clean and maintain.
I love the waterproof nature of the flooring.The foam backing limits noise--which is so important to us with a large family. And the foam back also provides waterproofing--of paramount importance with 4 kids!
The 7 inch width is very modern and looks great when installed. This is the perfect balance of modern and traditional. A great flooring option for any space!

Click lock vinyl plank flooring , comes in a case to cover 28,36 SQ. Feet in each case .Each piece is 7 inches Wide by 72 inches long. There is no concern about matching, as all the pieces blend perfectly. it was easy to install, I laid them randomly to insure the look I was trying to achieve. I also found that the floor was especially esy to clean, by either using a damp mop, a swifter or a floor attachment on my vacuum.

Shaw is a brand of flooring that I am very familiar with and has never let me down. This flooring is no different. Easy to install with the click and lock setup. All you need is a rubber mallet and a sharp knife and installation is a breeze.
This particular flooring is six feet long so installation goes much faster and you will see fewer seams after your installation is complete. This flooring also has padding underneath it, so it provides a bit more bounce for lack of a better word. Definitely quality material.

This is so far, and by far, the best click and lock style flooring i have ever tried. There are many things I really like about it.
First off is the size, they are 6 feet long and 7 inches wide, perfect for the long bathroom I am putting it in, if it were wider and shorter it would look wrong, these are perfect.
The grain look and the pattern is great as well, it looks very realistic and the patterns don't just repeat over and over.
The best part for me is the base and locking material, it has a rubber-ish base and connector/locking sections. The base makes it easy to put down right over linoleum and adds to them being very quite. And the locking parts are very forgiving if you line them up imperfectly, and allow you to bang in with a rubber mallet without fear of damaging the click/lock part.
In fact, for installation all you need is a rubber mallet, box cutter, jigsaw, and tape measure.
These are high quality and a great buy.

The quality of the Avalon Bravado click lock vinyl plank is obvious when you pick up the heavy box. Once you pull the planks out, you notice the neutral color that will coordinate with grey, tan and other popular home decor colors. The texture and appearance mimics real wood. One of the best features is the thick, attached acoustical underlayment (see photo). It makes the flooring virtually soundproof and comfortable to walk on. This vinyl plank is not only waterproof, it's apparent that it will not scratch easily. You can lay it over a variety of surfaces without waiting for acclimation. The click lock feature makes installation super easy. The planks are 6 feet long which adds to the impression of length and increased size of the room. You might consider an installation kit with a tapping block to help you lock the planks together.

Great click and lock laminated flooring approx 5.5 mm think ( a little under a 1/4 inch ) Very nice texture on surface , raised grain and knot seem realistic. Seven boards per box ,each box has 28.36 square feet and each plank is 6 foot long. I will put this in my hallway after I lift the carpet and remove my baseboard. Goes down easy and locks in place with the help of a rubber mallet and also unlocks for positioning of plank if you have to unlock it and move it or replace a plank for whatever reason. The color is very vivid and looks like real wood with the raised ( embossed ) grain. These can be cut very easily with a sharp utility knife. One strong score will do it and just snap it off. You dont need underlayment as the rubber on the bottom will act as your barrier. This flooring is water proof however it's made for a controlled environment from 50 degrees to 100 degrees. Not to be put on outside porch .I just found it a bit awkward to work with a 6 foot plank as it bends easy because of the length and lining up the grooves to snap into place put once you get the hang of it you should be fine. I do recommend this flooring because of the beautiful color the raised grain which make it look and feel like real wood.

Although not intended as a wall installation, this is what I have done to the kitchen area. It is older house that was built in 1890 and has seen some rough treatment from the previous owner/s, which had, in their infinite `wisdom` deemed to cover the area using thin cardboard like sheets. They had nailed them on and initially and my attempts at removing them resulted in pulling off chunks of plaster that came off as well.
Yeah I could have just replaced the walls using plasterboard and then the good wife suggested using vinyl boards instead and after some consideration, went for Bravado brown color finish, which she now refers to them as her `wall planks with thanks`…Yeah whatever!
These planks are both thin enough and flexible enough to connect them to the wall using a few screws where needed and slotted into each other with perfect precision. While I personally wanted then to go on horizontally, once again, the wife chose a vertical installation…I guess each to his/her own preference.
The transformation once completed is quite stunning and the guests that visit stand back in awe and are amazed at the transformation. Now, when she wants to screw something to the wall, this vinyl holds the screws firmly without relying on the old plasterboard for securing.
With the added acoustical pad on each piece, it has made the room deaden a lot of outside noise we were used to hearing.

My first impression by I unboxed the product was WOW. You can actually see the quality of the product as you remove the planks from the box. The color of the vinyl is vivid and resembles authentic wood floor to the naked eye. It looks like wood but you don’t have the same concerns with water spills, pet scratches and rough-housing by the kids (dropping their heavy objects to dent the floor). Its durability comes from the vinyl material. Installing the product was relatively easy, proving you have the right tools with you. The requirements for install the floor is a rubber mallet, spacers, square ruler, very sharp cutting implement, a ruler and a block of wood or hard plastic to help secure the pieces into place. The tongue and groove design allows for a perfect tight fit when installed properly. There is no special requirement for under and planks, but we had plywood in place to allow the acoustical pad under the planks to take hold. Please sure to walk your plywood floor first to nail down any areas that could be the source of annoying squeaks. I think what I like most about the product is its durability and the fact that it seems to change color variations with the light in the room.
