This can be bent to any desired angle without deforming if you are experienced in metal working. I bent mine to 123 degrees. To my knowledge is not sold in angles other than 90 degrees.
The A33 is only designed/tested for 90 degree connections. We cannot support field modification of this angle. Thank you!

Simpson makes a variety of hardware to fill this need. They are among these: https://www.strongtie.com/search/?q=deck+post+beam They range from simple after-installation reinforcement like the PCZ/EPCZ: https://www.strongtie.com/deckties_decks/category ...to typical new construction using double- or triple-2x beams on 4x4 posts like the BC/BCS and PCZ/EPCZ: https://www.strongtie.com/onepiecepostcaps_postcaps/category ---to the highly specialized.
The holes are 0.148" and were intended for 10-penny common nails. They will accommodate only #6 screws, so would likely need to be drilled larger for your application. Specs for Simpson A-series angles may be found here: http://embed.widencdn.net/pdf/plus/ssttoolbox/e39lmuvjy2/C-C-2019-p285.pdf
The plate is not wide enough to accept a 1" ID U bolt.
The A33 angles are not intended for a shelf application. This connector is rated for lateral capacities, where a shelf would have a download force. Please see the SBV shelf bracket as a possible option (the SBV has a 145 lb. download capacity). Thank you!
For mounting a 4x4 I would choose something heavier. Check out the range of Simpson post hardware at: https://www.strongtie.com/search/?q=post
