These are not the size they say they are.
So I spent a good amount of time looking for these because I have a house from the 1860s. I’m not sure if the people at Home Depot just don’t know what they’re doing but what I received was not 2 inches and basically useless.

Hello, this is McKenzie with Simpson Strong-Tie. The LUS26 is sized for nominally cut lumber (1.5") and is the incorrect product for Rough cut 2x lumber (actually measuring 2"). For Rough cut 2x, take a look at options such as our U26R or LU26R-18.

This 2x4 joist hanger was super easy to use, especially with the Simpson Strong-Tie 1-1/2 in. 1/4-Hex Drive, Strong-Drive SD Connector Screws (I opened the box to ensure they'd fit through the holes in the hanger, and they come with a 1/4 hex driver that should fit in any electric screwdriver or drill).
I inserted the 2x4 into the hanger, and screwed 1 screw in the upper right hole into place; then I squeezed the hanger against the 2x4 to ensure a snug fit, and screwed another screw into the upper left hole. Then I was able to add the other 2 screws into the plate, and then the 2 angled screws into the joist itself. Then I ensured the joist was level and repeated the process at the other end.
What could be easier?!
