Works great looks cool
SmartStraps 14 ft. CamoX Ratchet Tie Down Straps with 500 lb. Safe Work Load - 4 pack is a high quality product that is unique with the camouflage strap fabric. The flared handle makes it easy to use for even the users with large hands. Getting a good grip on the ratchet is obviously important to achieve proper tension. The mechanism is smooth and the strapping is very sturdy. We recommend this product.

Release mechanism very easy to use
Two main things set these ratcheting storage straps apart. The ratchet mechanism is very east to release. We have used some straps where it is next to impossible to unlock the ratchet once you get it cinched up tight. They have nice Velcro tapes attached to the end of each strap. You can use these velcro tapes to keep the ends of each strap from flying around when in use. When you wrap them up you can use the velcro strap to keep each strap together in a nice compact package. One minor negative comment is that the storage case is a waste. You can easily package two straps in a quart size Ziplock. We commonly use ziplocks to hold things like this. Zipllocks are compact and easy to use. We recommend you recycle the EcoCase. See last pic.

Very Functional & Clever Storage
We are in the middle of a move so these got tested as tie-downs in a box truck and used with a 2-wheel dolly. The ratchet works well and releases easily. The 14 ft. length is long enough to reach from side to side in a box truck on a diagonal with strap to spare. The composite material of the handle seems durable and will eliminate corrosion as well as being easier on your hands when ratcheting. Using these along with the 6 ft. and 10 ft. retractable Smartstraps has made the move a little easier. I will keep one of each length in my SUV from now on and the others will stay in the original packaging, which is a reusable storage container. For this strap, there are compartments with hinged lids at the top and bottom of the container (see photos with lids open and one closed). Very functional product. Just wish this one could have been retractable as well but I guess that would make the ratchet device too bulky and require a very strong spring mechanism.

Smarter ratchet straps
I have lost so many ratchet straps and misplaced one and or the other end, the storage case really sold this product for me. Besides the case there are other amazing features to these straps. They have bigger handles with finger locks that are a lot easier to use. I love the safety loop which makes the strap less likely to slip. The shorter end of the strap is long enough to allow room for free movement of the ratchet. Smartstraps have some nice upgrades and I seriously recommend them.

Heavy duty
These Smartstraps 14 foot 1500 lb. CamoX Ratchet tie downs come in a pack that is easy to carry with you and store. There are instructions on the package for putting them back in the storage case. That have 1 click open ratchets, super wide comfort grips, rust inhibitor, they thought of everything. They have a 500 lb. safe workload, break strength of 1500 lbs. and have an anti-seize function. We have ours for emergencies. These were engineered in the USA and assembled in Thailand with components from China.

Great Straps
These straps work great! They have a very smooth operation and are easy to release, yet feel very robust and sturdy when you synch something down with them. I recently used the set of 4 to tie down 10 - 6x6x16' timbers with a truck bed extender. Even though the truck bed extender was likely overloaded, these straps helped to keep some of the weight in the bed and relieve the stress on the extender. Drove 30 miles with no issues!

Great straps and easy to use!
We recently took a trip to Florida and used the straps to tie down a cargo carrier attached to our trailer hitch. The straps worked perfectly and most importantly, were easy to use AND held up to 800 miles of driving. The ends have a unique velco strap which allows for tying up the excess strapping once secured. Releasing the buckle is simple with a “button” type grip without fear of busting your knuckles.

Very cool looking and easy to use
The reason for the four star review is because of the loops at the end. I have used ratchet strapped that hand a locking end and it helps to not allow the hooks to unhook as you start to tighten the strap. The ratchet is easy to loosen and it locks tight. The long straps are helpful when using on large items. Also the package comes with a user guide to help you figure out how to lock and unlock the ratchet straps

Heavy duty, well built, and easy to use
These straps seems very strong and should be able to hold most any item. I am using them to secure my Kayak but I have heard they can hold down 4 wheelers, bikes, etc. without a problem. The release button is large and easy to use and the release mechanism works smoothly which is not always the case with these types of straps. The 14 foot length gives plenty of room to strap items with height or a large girth.

Pretty good straps
My bedstraps were getting a bit worn so I was in the market for some new ones. These seemed a bit better quality along with some beefier ratchets on them so it was worth a shot. These provide ample length to hold down just about anything in my truck bed; including furniture. The ratchets are quite beefy and are easy to loosen which is great. The only cons I had with these were that it comes in a case that you can use to store the straps in. Mine case came broken so I can't use this unfortunately. Also, the straps are connected to the ratchets so you can't remove them. There's a velcro strap sewn into the end of the strap that locks it into the ratchet end. I may just cut that off as it's easier to use the regular way and not be worried about storage of the straps.
