A: Um I think you got a bad one, cuz it's not supposed to do all that. It's just supposed to hit and chop more solid. Not shake or do a jig. Lol

A: I would exchange it mine was not wobbly. You needed to supply a lot of force to spring the handle it shouldnt be loose in any way.

A: Mine is like that too. One of the gripes people have had is that handle. I haven’t run into any issues with it but have with the blade. It’s not good at chopping thick ice and isn’t attached that well.

Wonderful Ice Chopper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used the Snow Joe ice chopper on my driveway a lot this winter. We’ve had a lot of thaw and freezes and this has become a very handy tool. It does a great job of getting under the ice to break it loose from the concrete. It claims that the spring is supposed to make the work easier on your shoulder, but I’ve found it to be more helpful for my wrist. I wish the ice chopper was just a little bit longer so I don’t have to hunch over when using it. I’m 6 feet tall.

Ice Chipper & Shovel?

I read the reviews of the chopper, ordered the chopper, and received the shopper. As the photos show, I received the chopper in a box showing not only the chopper but a snow shovel attachment as well. So, what gives?

I like that this tool features shock absorbing handle since when chopping ice it can be hard on your wrists. I prefer using this tool particularly to clear off ice build-up on my driveway after I use snow blower. Snow blower does not pick up ice that is stuck to the pavement and this tool quickly removes ice build up. Handle grip is ergonomic and feels good. Steel chopper end piece can be sharpened to your liking but I wouldn't bother with it since when using this tool it sharpens itself against concrete driveway. I think this tool is great value and in necessary with every household every winter season.
