How would you use this in a raised vegetable bed? Would you mix with other compost, vermiculite and peat moss, or some other combination? Thanks.

Earthworm castings are an essential amendment to add to your soil. They dramatically enhance growth and retain moisture so you don’t have to water as often. They are rich in beneficial microbes, nitrogen, calcium, magnesium, phosphates, potassium, potash, and many other micro-nutrients and minerals. These nutrients are readily available to your plants but won’t cause nutrient burn. Mix it with sand for drainage, coconut coir or peat moss to retain moisture and fertile crumbly garden soil are the basic ingredients. You could add pumice which has the ability to add air pockets in a soil, which results in higher oxygen content around the plant’s roots as well. Commercial mixes use perlite because it's lighter and cheaper for them than pumice. They also use vermiculite instead of sand for the same reasons.

What does concentrated mean here? What do you mix it with to make 40 lbs (says in the description)? Do you mean mix with other media such as peat moss/coco-coir/soil? Or that this is a compressed block like coco-coir-bricks and adding water will turn it to 40 lbs?

It's a marketing scheme (lie) to make you think you are getting more. It's 10 pounds. Period. It can make 100 pounds, depending how you mix it. I won't be fooled!!

Our soil testing indicates our yard is high in phosphorous and a bit low in nitrogen. Recommendation is to add a no phosphorous high nitrogen amendment. Does this product work for my situation?
