can i spray my myer lemon tree while flowering and some fruit still on it
Asked by: Ronald
Thank you for your question. Yes, Chelated Citrus Nutritional Spray is most effective when applied while the citrus is in bloom, in December, January or February, or up to the time flowering is completed. It may be used at other times when deficiency symptoms appear but slight surface damage to fruit may occur. For prevention of deficiencies, use 1 tablespoonful per gallon of water. One application per year is normally sufficient. For correction of a known deficiency, use 2 tablespoons per gallon of water and make at least 2 applications at two-week intervals. Apply spray in a manner that will provide thorough coverage to the point of run-off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good My one year old Bearss lime tree looked rough about two weeks ago (about Feb 8th). I purchased this at HD because it was reasonable, easy to use and only had to be applied once per year. I wasn't sure what to expect as the tree had lots of yellow leaves on it and no buds or flowers. I can't believe the results in less than two weeks. Yellow leaves are gone and I can see lots of flowers ready to pop. I'm just not sure if that is all the tree needs as I see with other fertilizers you are required to apply it three times a year. It doesn't seem that it can be that easy. I'll monitor the tree and update the review if necessary, hopefully not. Happy in Tucson

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to supplement fertilizers This product helps to perk up various plants. It serves to reduce the chlorosis for plants in the alkaline soils of South Florida. Works well for fruiting trees, orchids, gardenias, citrus and aroids.

Listen I read all the positive reviews and the success story and here is mine. My Lime tree was dying due to pest infestation eating all the roots. I repotted and all the leaves had fell except for 5 leaves that hung on. I then pruned the plant to meet the small left over roots (based on my judgement). I handled the plant carefully as to not knock off any of the leaves. I watered once a week thoroughly I use a very coarse soil (mixture of peat moss, perlite and vermiculite). All this did was help the plant hold on to the 5 leaves. But nothing happened until I used this stuff. I mean it when everyone says by the two week mark that's when you see some positive signs its true!!!!!! exactly on the two week mark I now have a single bud pushing out new leaves. I did not follow what the Mfg suggested. I mixed the suggested dosage for a gallon in a one liter solution to have a concentrated spray. I sprayed for three days then I sprayed at one week mark (the day I water) and even fed the soil with about three caps full of this stuff then two days ago the week mark I sprayed and dropped three caps full into the soil after I watered thoroughly. I leave the plant in front of a window it gets sun for about 5 hours a day and they suggest you move the plant away from the window at night but my baseboard comes on so I'm not concerned but i'm sure it would be better if I did move it to a warm location at night. So bottom line get this stuff! btu be careful it stains anything it touches so spray in a place you don't care about and leave the plant there dry for a couple of hours or more before moving it back to the location it sits in because you dont wants drops to stain anything in your house and good luck.

As I bought it to use on small indoor potted lemon and lime trees, I have not tried it. I only give this rating for Truth in Advertising. My store did not stock this, so I could not read the actual labels. I ordered it for store pick up and then found that the back label on the bottle states: “This product WILL SEVERELY STAIN concrete, masonry, and painted surfaces. Be extremely careful not to allow spray or runoff to contact these surfaces. Do not mix with other fertilizers, fungicides or insecticides unless compatibility is known.” The back label shown in the window on this site is different and does not show this information.
