I have noticed that the wire stiffness will vary from one spool to another. The fiber strands that are covered in paper makes the cord stiffer. It still worked fine in my application, but I prefer the more flexible cord that only has the fiber strands.

It works. Not what I would call "Flexible" I've had this kind of wire of this type that is really flexible and this 'aint it! The insulation isn't as flexible as a lot of rubber insulation is.
