Hello Freesteamin, It includes heavy-duty screws for a secure blade to handle assembly. There is no specification that the blade can be used with teeth facing the other direction. For that reason we cannot recommend

Can this saw be used to cut a vinyl downspout? Both to trim for length and to cut a hole in it?
            ByOct 10, 2018
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

This saw is probably too coarse to do a good job on cutting a vinyl downspout, especially the hole. I would suggest a finer pitch saw for cutting to length, and a hole saw with a piece of wood for backing for cutting the hole (assuming it is round). A fine pitch blade in a jig saw should also do the job.

Can this compass saw be used to cut a tree branch? (It's in a tight space and my bow saw won't fit.)

                Answer This Question

I believe the saw would work well cutting a tree branch as long as the branch is not too big to be cut safely.

                By|Oct 11, 2018

Yes, I have used it to cut small branches (less than 3 inch dia.). It's a very sharp saw.

                    (1)

Definitely, i would say up to 1inch to 3 inch branch would be ideal. Mine is so light and sturdy enough, i take it camping.

It’s adequate, but I’m disappointed with the style of the saw teeth that this and many other inexpensive hand saws have now adopted. Cheaper to manufacture I suppose, but the more classical style teeth (hence the term “sawtooth”) cut more efficiently.
