you may have loaded too many staples in the gun. remove some and it will load back in to support the staples. it will lift down then pop up into the gun to secure the staples.

No it's not heavy. I'm female and use it for my upholstery/re-upholstery projects. Hands/arm never gets tired.

Can it be use on ceiling tiles

Asked by JB July 26, 2020

Answer

I think that would depend on what your ceiling tiles are made of, how thick they are, and the composition of the material you are tacking your ceiling tiles to. Without knowing that information, it is really difficult to say either way.

Turn machine flat and parallel to the ground so the handle is away from you. Release the spring on back that holds staples in place. Align brads flat in the track with points toward you and slide the spring back into locked position. There is a small picture of a brad on the side, that how it should look. The brads do fire a little off center, so keep that in mind for placement. Hope this helps.

UNDERPOWERED - half the power of a regular stapler. Terrible product
I'm not sure what Stanley is/was thinking with this stapler. I was hoping to save my hands of much stapling on a project (working with T50's) and not using a manual. It has two power modes. "Low" and "High". At low power it will only sink a 5/16th staple in to a pine board half, if that. At "High" power it still leaves more than 1/8" gap, often a full 1/4". Not a single staple on a sample piece of wood could I get anything that was satisfactory. 100% of the staple drives were subpar at best, still needing to be hammered mostly and at worst unusable and the staple could be pulled out with no effort. What is the intention of a powered stapler if not to AT LEAST match the power of a manual one and, presumably, be able to do a bit better and then some. Sure, you get what you pay for, however, for twice the price of a normal stapler I'd expect at LEAST the same performance, certainly not a 100% worse performance.

Very easy to use. It’s not expensive but it gives quality results. ive had it for a couple weeks now. It has a very useful botton so it doesn’t work, stopping kids from using it. I love my Stanley staple gun. I’ve used it for numerous diy decor and furniture repair projects and I’m honestly tempted to call it my favorite child. (Don’t tell my kids)

Misfires and jams
I wouldn’t waste my money on this product. As soon as you reload it it continuously misfires and jams. Couldn’t even finish my project. Only every third or fourth staple would take. So frustrating. A waste of time and money!

Where has this been all of my life. I'm a sporadic DIY person and I've recovered a chair or two, but never invested the small amount of money needed to get an electric stapler. I was recovering 6 small dining chairs and my hand was aching. I purchased this electric stapler and am now kicking my self for not buying one years ago. I am really and truly so happy with this purchase. The size and weight are easily manageable with smaller hands (I have tiny hands). The cord provides adequate length for small jobs that are common for an electric stapler. I didn't experience any issues with jams or loading. The noise quality is good (not terrifying like some tools can be). Also, I was able to control the positioning before, during, and after stapling with little to no movement. This was very important in the project since I was using a much thicker foam and needs to ensure I pulled the fabric as consistently as possible. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend for any person that needs to do stapling on a sporadic or consistent basis.

This tool works great! I had been using a manual stapler, but my hand strenghth is limited and made it really hard to accomplish any jobs. I zipped right through replacing a ripped screen on my screened in porch with this duel function staple/brad gun.
