A: The reinforcement would depend on your local wildlife, but the coop is ready to use. If you have any further inquiries, please contact SummerHawk Ranch at info@ilovetocreate.com or send us a message on Facebook.
A: I put a lock on the slider door just because we have lots of raccoons
A: I put a brace at the bottom of the door cuz a dog pushed in the door and tried to get our chickens but other than that no issues
A: Does not weather good in the Southeast Texas climate . Wood swells screws loosen then panels come apart
A: The material is light and thin but reinforcement is only needed if you intend to move the coop from spot to spot.
A: No modifications needed. I did cover the wire with 1/4" mesh to prevent larger snakes from getting inside, but it doesn't require it. It is easy to assemble and is sturdy.
A: I used wood shavings in my coop. The temp did not seem to effect it but after a year it did start to rust in some pots.
A: Yes I would use some straw or the laying cushion mesh stuff to put in there just for added egg protection.
A: I use wood shavings on my pullout tray so the chickens are more comfortable.
A: Yea. It helps with cleaning also. We just used wood chips. There is a company out there that makes a hemp medium that is supposed to be chicken friendly also. As far as the weather I never had any problems.
A: I put newspaper on the pull out tray and it makes it super easy to clean. I live in Fl so there's lots of sun and rain. The only thing the weather had affected is the pain. My cooperation is only a little over 2 years old but is holding up pretty well
A: I put a light layer of pine shavings on the tray so the tray can still slide out for cleaning. If shavings cause tray to stick, it's easy to clear it. Temps don't seem to cause a problem with the sliding. Hope this helps!

A: I don't know the exact size but it is small. I would say no taller than 4 feet. U would have to crawl on your hands and knees to get inside. 2 nesting boxes. I have 3 large chickens and it works for them but would really prefer it to be larger.
A: This is shipped in two boxes. The package dimensions per box are 38.5" L x 36.5" W x 11 H. If you have any further inquiries, please contact SummerHawk Ranch at info@summerhawkranch.com.
A: The packaged size is 37"L x 39"H x11"W and weighs roughly 100lbs.
