Is the battery charger a floating charger? Does the battery charger lower the voltage charge to ...

Asked by ttwelchome January 27, 2021

Hi there, The charger for this is what is known as a smart charger or maintenance tender. It will charge the battery up then go idle for a while then recharge the battery. This will keep the battery from being over charged and extend the life of the battery. Thanks

What major or critical difference between model 92910 and 92900, other than floats, makes their p...

Asked by backuSeeker December 8, 2020

Hi there, The 92900 uses a tethered or wide angle float switch. This design of switch has been around for 50+ years and is very common. The 92910 uses a vertical float switch and is more expensive to produce. The vertical float is ideal for smaller basins or ones where there is a main pump and space is at a minimum. Thanks

Does this system include both the pump and battery?

Asked by Phyllis July 30, 2020

does this come with a discharge hose?

How many amps does the motor draw?

Asked by Gary May 2, 2020

Accessory feature: 2-Amp AC charger with power cord. The power to run the pump is provided from the battery so the current load is on the battery and not the AC source.

HP? is check valve incoulded

Asked by millwright November 27, 2017

Hi there, The battery back up pump kit does come with a check valve. It is important to be sure you have a check valve on each pump before the "wye" so one pump does not pump water back into the pit. Thanks

Great Security Product for you sump pump!!!
This item is a great product to have if you have any concerns with water in the basement. This product works with you existing sump pump as a back up if your primary pump fails. The sump pump system requires an the purchase of a seperate 12-Volt battery. The package comes with everything packaged nicely inside the battery compartment. The instructions ready very easy & are very easy to follow. Some times instructions can be very difficult to follow with certain products. With this being a fairly basic product, installation shouldn't be an issue. I wasn't too concerned over the GPM ratings on this pump. This is the kind of product that if you are lucky, you will not need it to run that often. After having a previous sump pump fail & ruined all of my carpet in the basement, I sleep a lot better knowing that I have an additional level of protections. I would strongly recommend!!

Like Buying Insurance !!
This is a well made, easy to install kit that comes with everything you need, Except the battery and the pipe. It is a nice solid box that holds the battery and electronics, Has an alarm to warn you the power is off and the pump has gone on.. At this time I'm running it with a used car battery and it kept going for 45 minutes. I will however go online and Home Depot has some nice deep cycle batteries that are fairly priced. I thought the price, even though it was well made was a little high, considering you still have to buy the battery. But it seems like the unit so far has kept the battery nicely topped off and the plastic case will protect the battery as well. If power outages are common by your home then this is a must have,, even if they're not its great insurance.

Difficult to install
It was difficult foe me to install my 12-VOLT SUBMERSIBLE EMERGENCY BATTERY BACKUP SUMP PUMP SYSTEM, and I consider myself pretty handy. First, it took me quite a bit of time to find a battery that would work with the system, I ended up going to a specialty shop to find one. Directions and the connections were not that easy to use. Fortunately for me, I haven't had to worry about a flooded basement or power outages, so I re-installed my old pump.

Nice little backup
This is a nice little Battery Backup Sump Pump System at a price that is a little high for 23 gallons per minute. My only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I would have preferred a pump with A higher gallons per minute performance at that price. There are a lot of backup pumps out there and you just have to decide how much you want to spend and just how often your main pump works and what your gallons per minute is on your main pump and choose a pump that will do the job. Note: This pump may be only 23 gallons per minute but the pump is of much better quality of some of the higher gallons per minute units I have seen, so be careful and pay a little more for quality and not just the GPM. Bottom line this is a really well made pump!
